The Southern Counties Off Road Club are back at Bilsington Priory for their annual trials and competition safari this weekend (July 27 - 28). There will be plentiful warning signs throughout our woods, but to be on the safe side, please keep an eye (and an ear) open for these cars, and it would be best to keep all dogs on a lead at all times if walking through the woods.

As promised some photos of our cake course! Lemon drizzle, carrot cake, chocolate brownies, cream filled meringues and Victoria sponges! This follows on from the sandwiches, scotch egg, sausage roll, mini quiche and scones and clotted cream and jam! Don’t worry though, we do supply doggy boxes if needed!

On the eve of D-Day, we remember the heroes who never returned. At the Priory we feel a particular poignancy as it was here that 14 Battalion Durham Light Infantry (DLI) was stationed 1940-45. Their colleagues in fellow battalions of the DLI were among those first ashore at Gold Beach in 1944, and a profound sense of loss must have been felt throughout the DLI for those who never came home.

Something a bit different today at Bilsington Priory… we had an art group come and paint and have afternoon tea. Such a lovely happy day. Sienna Rose Products was a fabulous teacher! This will be repeated soon, so keep an eye out for the advertisement!

Happy camping customers!

Well, the sun finally came out big time over the weekend, and we enjoyed a busy couple of days in the camping field..here's what one satisfied camper filed to 'Pitchup.com'..."Loads of space available, great basic campsite with fresh water, two toilets, washing up sink and shower. even better if looked at as posh wild camping." Wonderful to see so many people turn up for the Bluebell Walk through the Priory woods in such rotten, wet weather, raising money for the Pilgrim's Hospice. Tea, cake, and scones were their reward. A great cause, so thank you to everyone participating in today's fundraiser!

A busy day at Bilsington Priory Estate Ltd today, a local salvation army group had a retreat day here today and they were treated to a lovely homemade buffet lunch followed by lots of delicious homemade desserts! We also hosted a baby shower afternoon tea, a hen afternoon tea, plus a few more smaller tables for afternoon tea... we will all sleep well tonight! Thank you to everyone who supports us and to my lovely band of helpers! :-)
