Room Tour ✨ As each of our nine bedrooms - and every corner of Boys Hall - is steeped in history, we thought we’d take you on a tour over the next few weeks, sharing the amazing, historical stories behind each space.

Let’s start with Sovereign.

This bedroom takes its name from a remarkable discovery: a hoard of 17 gold coins, found in a broken flower pot on October 23, 1970, by Mr. Farrance during house repairs. The coins were hidden beneath the floorboards in the hall directly below this bedroom. Three of the coins were declared treasure trove by the British Museum and can still be viewed by appointment. That’s pretty cool right? They are believed to have been hidden by Edward Boys in the 17th century.

Sovereign features a super king-size four-poster oak bed and original hall-house beams. And a little heads-up - quite literally - mind your step when entering the bathroom. In a home this historic, some quirks simply come with the charm.

Sundays are made for lingering over a fire-cooked roast with all the trimmings, and unwinding in a big bath with a glass of fizz.

Our nine unique bedrooms each have their own story to tell, and this one - Bishops Quarter - is no exception. With original C16th panelling and views over the gardens, it’s a room steeped in history.

A little inside knowledge 👀 - King Charles I is said to have sought refuge here while fleeing Oliver Cromwell’s forces, leaving behind a piece of Windsor Castle in gratitude - the ornate fireplace panelling you’ll find in this very room.

The Boys Hall wine cellar is somewhat of an obsession for Brad and his team. Having recently been awarded the ‘noteable wine list’ by AA, hours are spent researching, tasting, sourcing and selecting the right bottles for the list.

If you haven’t managed to enjoy the festivities with us yet then check out our Christmas schedule below to make sure you do.

Tomorrow night, Monday 23rd at 8 PM, the talented will return to play the pub piano for our final Christmas sing-along. Last week’s event was full of festive cheer and we can’t wait to do it all over again!

We will close early at 4 PM on Christmas Eve and reopen for dinner service on December 27th, giving our wonderful team a much-deserved break.

Our regular hours will resume from 6 PM on the 27th, continuing through lunch service on New Year’s Eve. Please note that our New Year’s Eve dinner is ticketed and already sold out.

We will be closed on January 1st and 2nd for another team break and will reopen on January 3rd.

Christmas Sing-A-Long; join us around the pub piano for a good old sing song to Christmas classics.

Wednesday 18th December, 4:30pm

Carol Singing; join us and the Invicta singers for traditional carol singing around the fire. Please bring cash for the Pilgrims Hospice collection.

The Christmas season is upon us; fires are roaring, fairy lights are twinkling and the chance to eat, drink & be merry with your loved ones is here!

From this week our pub will be open from MIDDAY everyday for those of you seeking a tipple or two alongside our bar menu.

New to the bar menu you’ll find our hearty venison pie, mash & gravy, plus some scrumptious pork crackling alongside the Boys Hall classic sharing snacks and hearty sourdough sandwiches.

Every Monday from now until Christmas we’ll also be serving up bowls of our crispy roast potatoes for drinkers in the pub from 5-6pm.

The Drawing Room seats 18 guests, The Snug seats up to 10. Both rooms have garden views and their own fireplaces. Here we serve three course, candle lit dinners, long lunches or breakfast meetings. A massive thank you to everyone who attended our Boys Hall x Wye Supperclub bank holiday summer session, what a party 🪩

A massive thank you to Lee & Lexy for bringing all the tunes & vibes, for creating the beautiful DJ booth, for his guest appearance on the decs and to & for keeping the kids entertained. Not to mention our incredible team for cooking up 140 pizzas and keeping the drinks flowing and last but by no means least - all of our wonderful guests who brought nothing but smiles & dance moves!

We cannot wait for the next one 🥳

With each season comes a new signature cocktail menu. Bar manager Mike and his team spend hours foraging, infusing, mixing, shaking and straining to bring you the best flavours of the season. On the menu at the moment you’ll find;

Fennel & Pink Peppercorn Martini, Bayleaf Spritzer, Cucumber & Coriander Smash, Rhubarb & Raspberry Sour, Spicy Mango Margarita, Limoncello Sour & Twisted Aperol Spritz.

We’ve finally hatched a plan to bring Boys Hall X Wye Supperclub together on August bank holiday Sunday for a little end of summer garden party on the lawn.

Date: Sunday 25th August 2024

Time: 3pm – 9pm ( food served 4pm- 7pm).

What to expect: An intimate summer party held in the beautiful gardens at Boys Hall, with music from Lee () on the decks spinning joyful summer beats

Food and drink: We will be serving roaming wood fired pizzas, nibbles and delicious drinks from the bar, including locally produced wines and spirits.

Kids: Very welcome.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome ( they will need to be comfortable with reasonably loud music & children friendly).

What to bring: As the event will be held totally outside please feel free to bring a picnic blanket, deck chairs (there will be some seating), suncream, a hat etc.

Cost: £30 per person for adults, £10 per child. This will include food, and a welcome drink. The outside bar will be accepting cash and cards
