Empower Gala was created to address a crucial gap in the community: the need for a platform that not only recognises individual excellence but also creates meaningful connections between leaders from diverse sectors and cultural backgrounds.

EMPOWER GALA; an appreciation of culture and achievements.

An annual prestigious event in the Garden of England, Kent. An opportunity for Kent people to Glam Up and Show Up to celebrate our achievements, network, business promotion and global recognition. Yetunde has been supporting individuals, families and various groups in Kent since 2007; from free business start-ups and employability support that served referrals from Dartford, Gravesham and Medway Job Centres to cultural integration projects that promote community cohesion and faith engagement.

She co-founded 'Youth Ngage Kent', providing free sporting activities that helps to break the postcode groupings, discourage antisocial behaviours and help to develop youths’ potentials; Yetunde is very passionate about community development and family wellbeing.

Dr Okoye is a principal GP in West Kent, a GP trainer and the educational lead within their Primary Care Network in collaboration with KMMS. He has been mentoring university students and also involved in young people and youth development. He has been instrumental in promoting cultural diversity and championing the Igbo cultural heritage for the Igbo indigenes within Kent through various formal gathering and annual celebrations.
