So what do you do when you're having a jolly drink in your local bar with your mates – the bar where you all met – when the landlord tings a glass and announces he's leaving and the bar will be a bar no more?

Do you...
a. Say that's a shame – maybe we can go to a meeting about reviving it in a few years' time.
b. Mobilise! Form a consortium with eight of those very mates! Get on a train and start researching bars! Stump up some cash – and start renovating! Hope and pray that everyone who went there before will come back wanting more...

Our dream is to see The Charing Bar Company become a vibrant part of village life, a lively part of the social scene, and a welcoming place for us all to keep on meeting, socialising and making new friends.

Thank you to everyone who's joining in to make the bar survive and thrive... please follow our page for updates, tell your friends, and be ready for special events and opening nights... and there may be a few till we find our feet!

We look forward to welcoming you 😍
Zena, Stu, Dennis, Chris (Bobbie!), Natasha, Martin, Andy & Claire
