To all our fabulous followers - I trust that 2023 has been enjoyable & that you're looking forward to Christmas, which will be here before we know it!

This post comes to you with mixed emotions, but I wanted to let you know that after 6 fantastic years, I have stepped away from my role at Flaxbourne Gardens to concentrate on my own wedding planning business at . I have enjoyed my time here immensely, & learned far more than I could ever have imagined with Paul's knowledge, kindness & guidance.

Going forward, Paul will be your point of contact & he's looking forward to helping guide you forward in your wedding planning towards your big day.

Thank you to everyone for making my role so enjoyable, I shall miss our chats.

I was very pleased to take the last week off in the Lake District, came back all relaxed & full of plans… and bloody Covid! Eesh. Not the souvenir I wanted 🥴so I’m keeping out the office for a few days & hiding under a blanket. But I’ll still be online, so don’t be shy… what have you been up to? Today I wanted to show off our drinks menu, although this is actually just an overview. You should see our bar & the selection of drinks, I'm super proud! At last count we had around 15 types of flavoured gin available, & there will be more next year. Whatever your favourite, we'll make sure it's available to you on your big day. Certain brand of tequila? We'll source it. That one particular whisky that your dad loves? Say no more. After all, here at Flaxbourne, it's all about YOU. Let me know in the comments what YOUR favourite tipple is, I'd love to know. For me personally, it's currently black cherry gin with lemonade. mmmmm Bxx

Somehow, we’re into the final month of 2023 weddings & just 2 weeks out from end of the year. Where on earth did that year go?! Anyone else having a “blinked & missed an entire year” kinda feeling?! Bxx

5 years ago we’d just closed the doors after our first season here.

Talk about a baptism of fire! Our very first wedding almost didn’t happen due to flooding 😳luckily we made it, & looking back I can remember the pride & emotion we felt having survived our first season as a wedding venue.

5 years and MANY weddings later, that feeling still remains.

I am BEYOND proud of what Paul & I have created here. It’s a sanctuary. A private tranquil bubble. The backdrop of dream wedding days.

I wonder where the next 5 years will take us?! I know for sure that our passion for providing beautiful days won’t fade, even with obstacles in our way we still smile & adore our work.

So here’s to us. I always say how proud I am of Paul, without his drive & commitment we’d not have got very far.

But I’m also proud of us as a team. I can’t wait for our future 💕

Some days I don’t know what to say. I generally love story telling & words but today, I can’t find the words.

So instead I’ve found these photos (among the 4847499 on my camera roll!) and I’m smiling. Because the peace here is still my biggest love. It soothes my soul & everyone who visits comments the same, that our bubble of tranquility is wonderful.
