Back to School 2024
Congratulations Scottish Parents. You're almost at the end of the school holidays. You did it! You kept them alive and entertained all six weeks! You are all superstars.
As they go back to school this week and next I want to say well done to all the parents, grandparents, carers and club owners. And also good luck to all the kiddos returning to school/nursery. Here are the highlights of this year's back-to-school minis. Is your little superstar featured?

At the moment the wonderful Kitchen Designs by Ian Dickson has a team of guys in fitting a cloakroom and hot water for my clients, as well as reboarding up walls that Mr JB and I removed huge wall climbing rigs from. The space is so great and even bigger than I remembered. I can't wait to start capturing memories in there. I wonder who my first client will be 🤔

One of the businesses I am delighted to shoot for regularly is Alloa Ballet Company. At the end of October, when people were thinking about Halloween and trick-or-treating, we turned the ballet studio into a winter wonderland and did a Christmas photoshoot for all the dancers.
Now we are in December it's time to share the results. Leave me a ❤️ if this gives you some festive feels.
This is the week that Mr JB, our three Frenchies and I along with the JB Moments Photography Studio all move to Auchterarder (fingers crossed). During the week my WiFi will be down at various points and I will be knee-deep in packing boxes but I will still respond to queries (it just might take me a wee bit longer so bear with me).

Some of these kiddos have been coming to me for Back to School photos for years now. Some have been coming for years for pictures but this is their first time in a school uniform and some were brand new to me and the uniform. I'm sure you'll agree they are all super gorgeous and please tell me I',m not the only one that gets totes emosh at the littles growing up 😭
The Parenting Manifesto
Happy Mother's Day. I am honoured to meet mums when their babies are days old in my studio and I wanted to capture what their love looks like. Then I found the Parenting Manifesto by Brene Brown and knew I had to use it. Mama's I see you and I appreciate you. 💝
I also know, only too well, as a volunteer photographer for Remember My Baby , that Mother's Day can be a very hard day for some mums. Mama's I see you and you are loved.❤️🩹
There were tons of lovely costumes posed beautifully by all the ballerinas at Saturdays costume photoshoot ahead of this months big production of Alice in Wonderland. But I have a soft spot for all the creatures.
I've been photographing a passion project for the last 12 months. I am delighted to share it with you now.
Some friends who live very close by had a baby, so of course I took their newborn pictures. I also gifted them my Grow with Me package that captures baby's first year at 4 months, 8 months, and 1 year. But then I thought, what if I took a black and white mug shot every month? Do babies really change that much? Well, it turns out they really do. Enjoy my little labour of love 💝
My 2022 Christmas Mini Sessions were a riot this year in the best possible way.
We had snowmen and snowball fights. Santa sneaking up behind the sofa and all the believers took home letter to Santa kits from the wonderful The Ricketty Desk
It is always fantastic to meet new families and I love how many returning clients I have each year (including two teenage boys who do it for their little sister without complaining 😍). It is wonderful to see how much they’ve grown each year. Big up to all the parents that got involved this year as well, complete with Christmas outfits!
