So here I am, sitting in my garden this morning, surrounded by roses, geraniums, and lilies in full bloom. Butterflies are dancing between the flowers, and it’s just one of those peaceful, soul-filling moments. Yes, my eyes are streaming with hay fever—but honestly, I don’t care. Nature’s beauty wins today.

I feel incredibly lucky to have a quiet moment like this at 9.20am, even though I know there’s work calling my name very soon! But before I head to the desk, just a little reminder—my freezers are fully stocked with all your favourite curries, ready and waiting for you.

Maybe today’s the day to pause, breathe in (between sneezes), and take in the nature around you. It’s something we all share, wherever we are. And when you’re done, treat yourself to a little feast from Khushi Kitchen—spice and sunshine, what a perfect combo 🌸🌞🌶️

I have everything in stock , even made some fresh bhature in the searing heat yesterday ! Just for you x

✨ Just wanted to hop on here and share a huge thankyou Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Stewartdodd of River Cottage for inviting me to cater an organic veg meal for their entire team event this week. What an honour!

How wonderful that they gave their hardworking team a full day off – and chose to treat them to my carefully crafted veggie thali feast, all cooked with love from my Kitchen.

As many of you saw, it took three full days of prepping, planning, designing, and then executing the menu – including eight fully gluten-free , right down to the flatbreads and samosas! It was a labour of love , but with the help of my amazing friends (teamwork makes the dream work!), we had it all ready by lunchtime.

It wasn’t until halfway through the cook that I realised – oh my goodness – I was cooking for a team that includes some of the best chefs in the country. Gulp! But also… how lucky am I?

I really hope the food hit the spot and added something special to the day. I won’t tag everyone (you know who you are ❤️), but if you were there – I hope you felt the love in every bite.

If you’re going to Millers Farm Shop today , do go and say hello to The Baking Lab Devon ! 💛 She’s just starting out and absolutely loves the technical side of baking – you can tell by how perfect everything looks.

The cruffins caught my eye – they look incredible! I may have picked up a little treat to share with my buddies too… (or maybe not share at all 😉).

The sandwiches at their lovely cafe were lovely too as always x polished off with Batista coffee x

We’re in the kitchen this morning cooking up a storm for you lovely lot, and everything will be ready from lunchtime onwards.
So if you fancy first dibs, pop by before they start heading into the freezers around 3pm.

Yay! And here comes sunny Tuesday ☀️

Today is the day it all comes together — after a long Monday of chopping fresh vegetables, soaking lentils, picking herbs straight from the garden, roasting spices, grinding spices… you name it, it was done!

And now, it’s all coming to life in a beautiful Indian Thali feast — organic, local, seasonal, homemade and full of love 💛. Oh and what do you think about my amateur post it suggestions for thali layout ? 💯 with post it notes .

The cook-up is complete, and it’s over to the client (will reveal later in the week) and their team to enjoy every bite. Also, a big thankyou to these kitchen angels who stepped as the client needed by lunch and yes those samosas were hand rolled , filled and fried as were the chapattis 40 plus of everything ! True friends x

No rest for the wicked though — I’m straight on to prepping for Curry Friday! The Friday frenzy begins again soon…

Happy Monday Friends of Khushi x

Well, I’ve had to skip my Monday walk today — but for a very good reason! I’m in the kitchen prepping up something special for a new client, who loves to look after their team requesting organic, seasonal, veg ..

What a happy Monday to wake up to: all things local, all things organic, all things seasonal. What a beautiful part of the world we live in for produce 🌿✨

I can’t wait to turn these gorgeous ingredients into a delicious curry, made with love and packed with flavour, and hopefully fit for a special team !

☁️ Well, it’s a bit cloudy today, but still lovely and warm here in Devon! I don’t know about you, but hayfever has been rife in our house — it’s been a mission to stay focused quite literally (any tips for eyes welcome ).

But with things set to cool down next week, let’s make the most of this warm weekend while we’ve got it ☀️

So here’s the plan: go out, enjoy yourselves, soak up some sun, build sandcastles, chase ice creams — and leave the cooking to me.

My freezer’s full of fresh, homemade curries made with love and ready to go.
We’re a little short on bhature bread today (sorry folks!), but everything else is fully stocked — veggie and chicken curries, samosas, daals, and more.

Pop by before your beach day to grab a meal and let it defrost while you’re out, or swing by after a full day of family fun and come home to dinner already sorted 💛

Whatever you do — enjoy the weekend, and I’ve got the food covered.

A Friday Post from the Heart 💛

Firstly, my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all the families and friends impacted by the tragic Air India crash. We are not directly affected—thankfully, my dad flew back just two days ago—but it hits close to home, especially as it happened in his home region of Gujarat. I’ve been holding everyone in my thoughts and sending love and strength. 💔🙏
