🥟 Fresh Samosas Today! ✨

Happy Friday, everyone 🌞 After days of pea-soup skies, the sun is finally peeking through — whoopee!

Anne and I have been busy in the kitchen and we’ve made a limited batch of fresh samosas* (lamb & veggie). Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so knock on the porch door x

The freezer’s still full of curries, and yes, there’s baboo gelato too… so that’s 3 course dinner with dessert sorted 😉

And to those of you battling the traffic or dropping young adults at uni this weekend — I’m right there with you. Big hugs, deep breaths… we’ve got this 💛

Right , back to it as I’m cooking up a strom for land mark birthday and a diamond wedding anniversary tomorrow - so a lots of love in prep’ing today xx

❄️ The curry freezer is freshly topped up and ready for you! Perfect for those evenings when you just want to come home, pop something warming in the pan, and let the spices do their magic. Curries, breads, sides — all waiting in the porch honesty box freezer. 🌶🍛

But while the freezer keeps you cosy and well-fed, the real excitement is bubbling away in the Christmas experimental kitchen. Greens and reds are starting to appear, and it’s looking more and more like a Rajasthani-inspired feast. Imagine vibrant hariyala chutneys, fragrant tikka, and Kashmiri chillies bringing their glorious red hue to the table (the latter is actually thanks to a wonderful customer-inspired recipe (laal mas ) — thank you, Sid! 🙏).

This is honestly my favourite part of the year — the joy of creating and recreating, of blending tradition with imagination, and breaking taste barriers while still honouring my British-Indian roots. Every Christmas menu is a story in spices, and this year’s is already shaping up to be one I can’t wait to share with you. ✨

So, freezer for today, feasting for tomorrow — both from my kitchen, straight to your table with love. ❤️

Today is all about dreaming up the ultimate Christmas menu — piles of notes, trusty textbooks, and a kitchen bursting with ideas. The magic is happening, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Our 2025 Christmas Menu will be dropping later this September or early October… and let’s just say, it’s going to be our most delicious one yet. A lot of proverbial blood sweat and tears (aka experimenting) goes into designing the dishes - they are my creation or a twist on existing !

🌦 What a confused start to autumn , hey?!

Hey lovely people! What is going on with this weather? 😅 Went out this morning — sunshine, glorious sunshine. Then whoosh 💨 — blowy. Then 🌧 rain. Yesterday on Seaton beachfront? The gale-force wind literally wouldn’t let me in my car. Like, excuse me, door police?!

Anyway now we’ve covered the weather … happy Monday! 🎉
And hello to my favourite season . Do you have a fave season and why ?

A little reminder — if you want fresh curries this week, get those orders in by 7 PM tonight. I’ll be cooking up a reliable storm (unlike the weather!) and have them ready, cooled, and waiting for you to pick up by 4 PM Friday.

Rainy days call for comfort… 🌧️

After battling closures on the M5 this morning (never fun!), I’m hoping the rest of you are tucked up safe and dry.

On a day like this — grey, damp, and a bit miserable — nothing beats the comfort of a warm curry. Pop by and pick up:

🌧️ Fresh bread kind of day! 🌧️
If you’re popping by to collect curries today, make sure you treat yourself to some of our fluffy bhature breads and soft, fresh chapattis.

Nothing like warm bread (and these are on another level when they are fresh !) and a good curry to cheer up this soggy, stay-inside kind of day. 🫓🍛

📸 All About Kichuri – Healing Ayurvedic Comfort 🌿

Today I’m making kichuri — a dish deeply rooted in Ayurvedic cuisine and loved for its healing, nourishing qualities. ✨

Kichuri is often recommended when you need to reset your digestion, recover from illness, or just want a bowl of gentle comfort. It combines lentils (yellow, split pea, or any variety you like) with rice and gentle spices to create a balanced, protein-rich meal that’s easy on your gut.

Today I couldn’t choose just one — so in went a mix of all my lentils 😅 … with my favourite luck rice soaking, ready to cook. A dear friend gifted me some fresh garden greens 🌱, and they’re joining the pot too.

A dollop of authentic Greek yogurt on top, and it’s ready to enjoy hot or cold. It may never win a beauty contest (as it’s mush on a plate) but it tastes divine — and my body and soul always says thank you. 🙏

Doesn’t look fancy, but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in flavour and full of goodness.
