BOW-utiful 🎀

Today little Ayla turns 8 and I got to finally create the for her birthday balloons.

I won’t lie, the drive over to Stoke Poges in was a bit hairy, not a great day for balloon deliveries but everyone needs balloons for their birthday right so had to be done!

How super cute are they, the perfect trio 🎀🎀🎀

Hands up…who has teenage kids, Grandkids, nieces or nephews that when you ask them what would they like for Christmas the answer is money. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have 4 that say this every year and it’s sooooo boring! Gone are the days when they were little and it would take ages to open presents and the bin bag would be full of paper.

Now it’s a bit of cash in a card that gets put to one side (won’t lie, we’ve had a few touch and go’s where it’s been chucked out with the rubbish 😬)

🌹Belle of the Ball 🌹

Anyone else’s little one obsessed with Disneys

Delivering these balloons on Saturday reminded me so much of how my eldest daughter was obsessed with all things Belle and how we used to watch the movie at least 3 times a day (I’m not kidding! 😆)

Seeing this little lady in here Belle dress and heels and how cute she looked hits home that these last 20 years have literally flown by and how I miss them days of my daughter dressing up or cuddling up on the sofa and watching the movie on video (yes it was that long ago! lol)
We did progress to DVDs and it was so much easier to skip straight to the film than having to watch all the trailers before😆
Jeeze I sound so old! 🙈

Having a Granddaughter now I can’t wait until she’s just like her mummy and tottering around in heels and dresses being the princess that she is ❤️

I might even do a set up at home. No reason, just because I want to 😆

I debated long and hard whether to post this.
It’s not language I’d usually use or condone but right about now it’s how I’m feeling. Obviously I’ve blanked it out but think you can all read between the lines to what it should read.

This was never going to make it to my socials. It was for a customer who’s friend was half way through her cancer treatment. It was for her eyes only!

But if I’m honest this is what I think about it at the moment too.
I know so many people recently that have either fought it themselves and won, know someone that has had the disease or sadly knows someone that wasn’t lucky enough to come through their battle with it.

Sadly tomorrow marks the 1st anniversary since I lost my eldest brother Lee. 💔
If it wasn’t for a rare cancer that he had he wouldn’t have needed major surgery to remove it and he would still be here today. How it can turn your world upside down in a split second is scary and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

This last year has been the hardest year of my life! Seeing the ones you love around you so heartbroken and knowing that there’s nothing you can do to help them is just soul destroying.
It’s not just his death too that’s hard to deal with. It’s the aftermath and how it affects everyone since. I often find myself thinking ‘what would Lee do or say’ in certain situations and hoping for a sign.

I’m forever grateful my husband, family and close friends for keeping me going but damn it’s hard!

My love goes out to everyone that is currently or has been touched by this cruel disease.

Think you can all agree with me that the balloon wording is spot on on this occasion.

Love them or loathe them, they are back and ready to cause mischief for a whole 24 days.

I’m a bit late to the party getting these designs out. Usually I’m super organised and have them ready for the beginning of September but I knew I wanted to change the designs up this year as I was getting a bit bored with the same designs as previous years.

So voila!

I have limited availability for each design. First come first serve and full payment is needed this year to secure your order.
Multiple names or family name can be added to the balloon.

Behind the scenes and keeping it real….this set up CONSUMED my life for a whole 2 weeks and was the most stressful one yet.
I have to admit that even 24 hrs before I was due set up it still wasn’t going right. BUT I had a little bit of faith left and I HAD to get it right. I knew I would eventually!

I had to admit that when my lovely customer got in touch with me about doing a design like this I thought ‘ yeah, that will be super easy to do and not much effort’ well…how WRONG was I 🤦🏼‍♀️

I was open and honest with the lady and said that it’s a design I’ve not done before but I’m confident enough in myself that I can do similar but my god It wasn’t as easy as it looks.

You probably look at this like I did and think that’s easy right? Just 2 entwined hearts using pipe and connectors. Well that’s what I thought too but no.

All I can say is thank god for my husband .moore.986 and my dad as it took the 3 of us to make it work.

Either the pipes were flexing out, drooping too low on the frame, not heavy enough, hearts were too big, you name it every bloody hurdle in the way!

I even messaged the lovely Debbie from as I’m part of her academy to see if she had any tips. So nice to chat with her and brainstorm but we had already tried what she suggested too. ☹️

But we kept going! I live by the saying ‘Patience is a virtue’ and thankfully it was. I’m not kidding when I say I cried when it finally worked. I knew it would, just didn’t know when! Talk about cutting it fine! Who knew air pipe would be the best?

Set up day was a breeze 😆 we had literally practiced 10+ times so that wasn’t a problem but what I would say is positioning is EVERYTHING!

The balloons were an exact match to the bridesmaid dresses
but the location of the display changed a couple of days before and honestly with the frame still stressing me out I just didn’t think that the light from the window would obviously make the balloons go lighter.

Oh well, hindsight is a great thing but I’m just glad that it all worked out. Blood, sweat and tears all literally did go into this display but it was definitely worth it!

I’m so behind with posting my work 🙈

Life seems so hectic at the moment that having the time to sit down and upload to social media is just a huge effort but it totally needs to be done.

Anyone else feel the struggle?

Maybe I’ll set my alarm for 3am when everything is quiet and I can think 😆

Anyway here’s a gorgeous set up I did for an engagement recently.

A simple colour palette often gives the biggest impact and sometimes just a small display of balloons and a sailboard makes the most elegant backdrop.

We’ve all been there haven’t we where the kids just want money for Christmas. 🙄. It actually makes it easier for us but we don’t like the thought of them only opening a card on Christmas morning. This is where our cash balloons are great 💷💷. They look great under the tree and sooooo much better than a card that lets be honest, always gets lost and you spend half hour looking through the bin bag of wrapping paper trying to find it ….. or maybe that’s just my house 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 REMEMBER THOUGH - cash bubbles are for all occasions, not just for Christmas 😊
