So, what’s happening at Bunty’s??

You will likely notice that we haven’t been trying to sell flowers this year so far, in fact we have actively avoided it.

We are still growing loads of flowers (more than ever) but have decided to take the selling part easy this year. We loved what we did last year but it was quite “a lot” on top of our other commitments.

This year our “day jobs” (running a national vehicle sales and service company) is going through a growth spurt with some massive projects in the works leaving little time for marketing Bunty’s and delivering bouquets.

So, we shall keep posting here, keep sharing what we are doing and happily assist with the odd bouquet here and there and perhaps gift some to friends, family and worthy causes, we might even bring back the flower cart in the summer when we have an abundance.

This year it’s “Just for Joy” and if our flowers give you some enjoyment or inspiration that’s just great. We are also doing a bit more homesteading in general which should be interesting (🐓🍓🍒🥒🌱).

This is our passion and we are delighted to share it with you.

A wee staff night away for us celebrating John’s Birthday. Keeping it local though just nipping to Lochside House Hotel, a fantastic facility just on our doorstep, just perfect (plastic cactus aside, hit us up ). 🐴🌹💐

A few tulips and some ranunculus to brighten up our kitchen on a Sunday night. So nice to see some colour finally arriving. Maybe spring is coming after all.

It’s a bit of an “infrastructure” year for us here at Bunty’s and this is our new composting set up in an advanced stage of construction.

What a lovely day it’s been today, you’d almost think it was spring!!

The fact the greenhouse needs the heater on probably says it all about this weather. We know better days are coming but my goodness could we do with some dry warm weather.

Whilst building our new Compost Area today a wee pal wanted to lend a hand. Managed to get him out before we poured the postcrete.

All the finishing, window auto openers and sealing done (until it gets weather tested). Pretty much ready for starting growing I just need to get the services (water and power) in which hopefully will get done next weekend.. it’s actually been a great weekend getting things buttoned away, I guess not the traditional Eater Holiday weekend but we don’t really do traditional.

Well, I’m saying she’s 7/8 of the way done.
Weekend 3 and the glass is in and the door is on.
We seem to run on sweary words and white wine (wine after we were done), but it is definitely coming together.
Hoping to be able to get it finished at nights this week, then on to the growing!
Another super shift put in by Billy our willing helper, kinda explains why Jack moved to another continent. 😂😂🐴🌹💐

As far as we’re going to get tonight with the Harley. Putting glass in when tired is not a good idea. Our Billy was on the job today and that was a great help, and we got a call from Jack in Canada whilst on the job as he loves a bit of DIY.
Depending on paying work we might get a wee chance to get back to it this week, otherwise it’ll be the weekend again.
