💃 What to Expect When Booking Your Wedding Dance Lessons with MairiMeDance 🕺

Your first dance is a magical moment to share with your partner and your guests. Here’s how we make it fun, stress-free, and memorable!

✨ When to Start
We recommend starting lessons 2–3 months before your big day, giving us plenty of time to create a routine you’ll love.

✨ Choosing the Perfect Song

We can work with any song—if you already have a special one in mind, that’s great!
If you’re undecided, we recommend choosing a song that’s easy to dance to. Songs with interesting arrangements, such as tempo changes or bursts of energy, often work best.
Don’t worry—we’re happy to help you decide if you need guidance!
Aim for a song around 3–3.5 minutes long to keep things comfortable.
✨ Prepare for Your Dress
Make sure your wedding dress allows for movement—this is key for your big performance!

✨ What Happens in Your Lessons

First Lesson: We’ll explore some steps to suit your song and see how you feel with them.
You’ll get a video of your steps to practice at home while I choreograph a routine tailored to your personality, ability, and expectations.
Subsequent Lessons: We’ll refine your dance, building your confidence and making it performance-ready. Most couples take 3–6 lessons, depending on the routine and your schedule.
✨ Practice Makes Perfect

Just 5 minutes of practice each night is all it takes to make progress. Chances are, you’ll end up enjoying it so much you’ll do more!
We’ll video each lesson so you have a clear reference to practice from—ensuring no disagreements over who’s doing it right! 😉
✨ Final Touches

We can hold final lessons at your wedding venue to make sure you’re comfortable with the space and avoid surprises.
I’ll also provide valuable tips and advice to ensure you shine during your first dance.

It is certainly a bittersweet weekend. So many of my most lovely couples are getting married this weekend. I am so excited for each of you, but also sad that our lessons have come to an end.
I will be thinking of you all at 8pm when you will be stepping onto the dance floor to enjoy this special moment, as a married couple. No matter what happens, enjoy! Nobody knows what you are supposed to be doing, just smile and enjoy every minute!
