Welcome Wenda ✨ 3 things I LOVE about this dress! 1 - it’s really lightweight and quite a thin material, not in a flimsy way, but in a practical sense for warm summer or destination weddings etc, not feeling suffocated by your gown is really important! 2 - it has a built in hidden corset in the bodice which means the dress supports itself and your bust allow the draped neckline to fall freely and isn’t relying on the tiny straps keeping it up! 3 - the tiny pearl straps and optional belt give the hint of bohemian to an otherwise modern and minimal gown! Now in store and under £2000. Ps, I move around like a madman in my videos because I’ve fallen victim to far too many perfectly edited and positioned still images in the past! Pps, has anyone else’s TikTok overnight became a charli xcx fan page? I can’t escape her songs, it’s like goodbye Sabrina, hello charli! 💚

Opal - £585 - go read my post in the main feed for all I have to say about this dress! I could have literally driven home in it after work, I didn’t want to take it off and it’s so comfy to wear! And those little shoulder drapes are detachable too! A fun dress for fun brides having fun weddings! 💒 ✨ 🎉
Rose from The Collection by @jennyyoonyc is crafted from a lustrous shimmer twill fabric. There’s a grain to it which makes it feel much more unique and luxurious than your typical shiny poly satin. I’m about 7lbs up from when I got married last year (and the last time I wore a fitted dress) and all my weight goes straight to my belly pouch, so the structure of the fabric is doing a great job of making me feel body confident and secure. I truly love stretch crepes and slinky silks, but I simply wouldn’t feel my best in one of those right now and that’s why the variety exists in our shop. Plain ≠ one type of fabric at all! Plain also ≠ unforgiving all the time either. Just got to try different silhouettes and fabrics. She’s packing extra drama with the accentuated flare from just above the knee and the train is a once in a lifetime event in itself!
Sometimes that low key classic bride is what you were actually looking for all along…. @jennyyoonyc Watson X @coutureveil Athena ribbon edge.
Long sleeved gowns! Our number one request, that brides change their minds on when actually trying on! I *think* we probably have more long sleeve dresses than any other shop in Scotland. They are not popular amongst designers for multiple reasons - harder and more expensive to make, harder to fit and less generally sellable (not everyone suits sleeves and often (wrongly) viewed as an autumn/winter style which has far fewer weddings than may - sept) and for shops they are harder to pitch as the samples don’t allow as many brides to try on and get a good idea they love it. Arms don’t always play ball with body size. We ideally want samples than as many brides as possible can try on. And sleeves (particularly fitted sleeves) restrict anyone bigger from the sample size from getting a good idea. Whereas other gowns can simply be left unzipped a few inches and look pretty much exactly as it would look in the ordered size. (Real talk!) BUT I love a sleeve and have bought many many versions for the shop. So here we go. 1. Religious! Check with your church/rabbi etc. often the restrictions aren’t as strict as you might think so check before hand to give you as many options as possible. We can often create a detachable drape or sleeve that covers the ceremony without committing you to a style you don’t suit or want! 2. Hiding! Love your body. Love your tattoos/scars/chicken skin. Your partner adores you the way you are. And you should too! If you think your arms are ‘chunky’ a fitted white sleeve actually makes them broader. Consider loose blouson/bishop / sheer lace appliqué/ tulle/ bardot straps. Sleeves actually stop us seeing your gorgeous silhouette so the more skin the better for a slimming effect. For tattoos and scars there are now incredible make up options that won’t rub off 5 mins into the day. 3. The aesthetic, if you just love it then ok great. Come try it on. I hope you love our selection too! But don’t be surprised if you end up forgoing every

We have more options than you can shake a stick at for the poll winning options on our ig this or that from the weekend. Decided not to play it safe though and pulled this simple but striking dress! You could wear her anywhere but I think it would look incredible in a destination wedding setting. The sides have an ultra fine lace tulle panel and the veil is made from the matching fabric to give that couture, polished finishing touch. 👌🏼 #bridalfashion #uniqueweddingdress #differentweddingdress #plainweddingdress
I love a 2-4-1 deal! Convertible dress allows you to detach yourself from the drama whenever you feel like it! 💃🏻 #detachabletrain #plainweddingdress #differentweddingdress
There’s nearly always an eager beaver in the audience crying out for a veil with every dress. But if you love the idea of wearing a veil, it’s actually a really powerful moment that becomes less exciting each time, so we don’t want to squander it on gowns that aren’t sparking enough joy on their own. If you whack a veil on straight away, you/your guests often well up at the reality sinking in (especially if it’s your first appointment) and that emotion can then be confused as loving that dress and confusion and doubt of why didn’t I get that feeling with the dress I really liked? So trust us when we want to try on gowns first, judge them in their entirety, then return to the top 1 or 2 faves at the end for the veil moment so it’s the lasting memory and feels extra special. If we do a veil with every dress you’ll just end up wasting time and trying on less dresses. Trust your stylist! 😉

The little white dresses by @jennyyoonyc are here for you! (Note, I’m only 5ft so they will be more midi on people of average height 🤣)
It’s always easier being smaller than the sample. And unless it’s a very corseted/formed cup style, trying on something too big is rarely an issue. However, trying on things smaller isn’t quite as easy which is why we’ve been bringing more styles in bigger sizes and double sizes of popular styles! As a rule of thumb you can usually try on 1-2 sizes smaller if it’s fitted and 3-4 sizes smaller if it’s floaty. We try to list our sample sizes online as our best guess at ‘highstreet’ so if a designer runs small and the tag says 12 but it feels like a 10 we will list it on the website as a 10 to avoid disappointment. Bridal sizing is really confusing and we know that! But in an attempt to demystify bridal, we’d much rather give you as much information as possible, even when it’s not an exact science, so you can be confident we are worth the visit in terms of styles, sizing and budget! A lot of shops seem to want to hide this info for whatever reason. But we are proud of our range, the sizes we carry and the price range we offer! We also know that so many of our brides travel long distances to visit us, so we want you to be sure you aren’t wasting your time - spoiler alert, if you like low key, chic, elegant, simple, then we are def worth it! 😉 always at the end of a DM if you have any questions!
