Opening the evening! The Breaded Churchman!

"The Breaded Churchman" is the alter-ego of Singer-Songwriter/Guitarist Steve Fletcher. His debut album "Please Don't Figure Me Out" was released in 2022 and a 2023 Uk Tour has been ongoing ever since with shows booked in Sheffield, Hull, York, Edinburgh and beyond. Although The Breaded Churchman performs 'solo' with an acoustic guitar, his use of looping and distortion brings a live experience that is surprising and unique.

Today would’ve been the day!! Hasn’t time flown?
But.. As with all events this year, things have been put on hold until the not to distant future! Don’t worry though, the village shed will soon become a bar once again, the square will be full of you lovely people and an artic lorry trailer will become Middleton by Youlgrave’s main stage for the night!

We’ll be sharing a load of pictures of the bands from previous years, give them a share and give everyone some positivity in the strange times!

Until then, stay safe, look after each other, and we’ll party on the other side of all this!!

So, a massive thanks to all the brewery’s! Thornbridge Brewery Howard Town Brewery Blue Monkey Brewery and the The Sycamore Inn for supplying the barrel of Trooper. The Ashover Cider Company
Tracey with catering van, Peak District Dairy the people from Middleton who kindly donated electric to power the event, and ofcourse James singleton for his expertise in providing excellent sound engineering! Not forgetting Jim for organised our stage once again from K & H Haulage!

What an amazing weekend! Thanks to everyone who came and supported our little event! Our next post will name everyone who without the event wouldn’t happen but just to let everyone know we managed to raise £545 which will be getting dropped off to Ashgate Hospicecare later this week!

8pm Men @ Work, playing rock covers from all era’s

9pm She Said upbeat covers from all era’s, song you wouldn’t expect! Played by a five piece female fronted band.

10pm Mill Stone Grit brought together by the love of the Peak District playing rock and pop covers! No strangers to playing charity events!

11pm HELLO GYRO based in Matlock they have been gracing stages around the area for the last year along with playing larger venues further afield, certainly not to be missed!

Not long to go before you lovely lot start arriving in the village! we've got a slight change to proceedings tonight as due to very unforeseen circumstances Honey Dont wont be able to play, we wish Martyn well and hope he has a speedy recovery! not to fear though Chris Carr will be filling the gap and playing a set for us, so a big thanks to Chris for jumping on board at such short notice!

The Middleton Rocks team has been assembled and given the task of organising another village tradition! The Bateman Arms Evening. Celebrating the old pub after 101 years of closure! Tonight in Middleton village hall we have on offer THREE real ales, largers, ciders, wines and soft drinks! This is not a profit spinner, just a bit of fun, therefore all alcoholic drinks are £2 a pint (or 125ml glass for wine)
Along with a mass of pub games! Bar skittles, darts and dominoes!
See you later 7pm onwards!
