Calling all newly engaged people, and those who are starting to make plans for the big day, whether newly engaged or have been for a while!! We’re excited about meeting lots of new couples at this amazing wedding fair on Sunday 26th! There’s loads of exhibitors coming along, and a prize of a free wedding - sign up for that via the link on the second photo! Entry to the fair is free. Breckenhill has available dates for this year still, and also is ideal for a DIY day, and smaller events. We will help you with every step!

Please keep an eye out for this beautiful and much loved bird, escaped from his temporary aviary after storm damage to his usual one. Loki will probably not come this far from home (east coast near Magheramorne) but they can travel huge distances.

🎄🎄🎄Tildarg Primary School's first ever Christmas Tree Festival is TODAY from 3-7pm! Call in and check out the beautifully decorated trees on display, created by the school family and groups from the local community. Refreshments available and some child-friendly activities for the wee ones. Everyone welcome.

Autumn brings us such different vibes, the season of mists bringing beautiful cobweb decorations, berries and fungi. It would be good to see the sun, or at least the sky, but we should be grateful for a lack of wind and rain!

We love our animals at Breckenhill! We want everyone else to love them too, but if you prefer not to meet the dogs, please let us know in advance! The cats will only say hello if you want them to, and the chickens are happy to stay in their run for wedding and school trip days, or as required. Ruby (black Labrador) loves a tummy rub as you can see!

We ended our season with a fabulously quirky and personal wedding for Ruthie and Max. The families (especially the bride’s father!) worked so hard to create the perfect day for them with so many wonderful different touches, from the bus stop sign, to the colourfully painted piano, rugs, arches, the backdrop, and the garden games.
With the stretch tent from Stretch Tents up, and loads of umbrellas on standby, of course it didn’t rain! But it made a great spot for the ceremony. The gorgeous flowers by on the arches and arrangements and bouquets brought the best of autumn colour to the barn. The amazingly stunning cake was made by a good friend (and guest!) , what a stunner! Drinks were served from the brilliant , and delicious food by our lovely friends at and then it was welcome back to to dance the night away!
We wish Ruthie and Max all the very best for the future, along with Raymond the dachshund (seen in miniature on the cake looking like he’s already dug in!!) in their new home.
