**Don’t forget tonight is our Family Bingo Night!**

7pm sharp at Ahoghill Community Centre, until 8:30pm.

Just £5 per book, and some great prizes to be won! A fun night where the family can all come along to enjoy!

The kids can also ‘Guess the Name of the Teddy’ for £1 per guess, with the chance to WIN the Teddy along with some chocolates and a cash prize! 💰

We also have a tuck shop available and FREE tea and coffee!

Come along and support us, have a laugh and be in with a chance of winning yourself something! ☺️

Some of the Ahoghill Yew Tree Committee members volunteered at Fourtowns Primary School’s Summer Fair on Wednesday evening. ☺️. Did you see us?

As parents’ of children who attend the school, we were only too happy to help!

We volunteered to do Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos and thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the lovely children who came along to support their school. 🎨

We hope you may have also seen our flyers about our Bingo Night next Friday, 21st June!

Well done to Fourtowns Primary School for putting on a fantastic evening, and well done to everyone who turned out and showed their support! 👏🏻

Castle Tower School are on the look out for some toys to use in one of their classrooms. Do you have any good quality used characters i.e. Peppa Pig & her friends/family, Superhero's, toy scenes, car sets, etc.

As of next week we will be holding a Community Drive. There will be a box placed in the Nisa Local Ahoghill ) all you have to do is purchase something extra and put it in the box! It could be a packet of tissues to go towards the primary schools endless supply or a tin of beans or toothpaste to go to the Fold or nursing home!

If anyone knows of any person or family struggling please do get in contact and we will do all we can to help!! ❤️

** New Social Housing Plans: Community Engagement **

AYTCG have been made aware of plans for new Social Housing apartments in Ahoghill.

The plans for 11 brand new apartments have been proposed by Alpha Housing.

This proposal is for land to the rear of 2-10 The Diamond, Ahoghill.

"Alpha Housing proposes to build these homes to help address the significant social housing need as confirmed by the NI Housing Executive. Our intention is to construct the following homes:

6 No 3 person, 2 bedroom apartments

3 No 2 person, 1 bedroom apartments

1 No 3 person, 2 bedroom WC apartment

1 No 2 person, 1 bedroom WC apartment

All apartments will be allocated through the Common Selection Scheme, administered by the Housing Executive, and based on an assessment of objective housing need.

Mainline Contracts hope to start work on site in early 2024."

Alpha Housing has launched an engagement exercise on the development. AYTCG have requested a meeting with representatives from Alpha Housing to address any concerns raised by the local community.

So, we invite YOU, the local people, to get in touch with us about any concerns you may have about these proposed Social Housing properties. We are more than happy to present your concerns to the housing association/developers on your behalf.
