✨ Just thought I would leave a post here as I tend to get asked a lot of question regarding Ophelia's Meadow.

🌸 I am not currently doing any floristry as I work 9-5 in recruitment and I am a social media manager on the side. Once I reach certain goals, I will be back to posting about my floristry adventures.

🌷I will from time to time post in my stories to keep her spirit and energy alive. Essentially a mood board, things that inspire me and fits my beautiful brand.

Repurposing beautiful wake arrangements into Sympathy Bouquets.

The florist who had created the original arrangements had picked the most beautiful collection of flowers & all the foliage was entirely foraged from the property. A lovely personalised touch 🤍

Little Miss Green has won the polls 🥰 Thank you to everyone who had their input in helping me decide.

Over a year later, I have finally been able to get my vision onto paper 🌱 Although I have been a little quiet on here, the cogs are moving behind the scenes - focusing on a few plans for the future 🌿

The current arrangement in my room is a beautiful mixture of Stock, Peony's and Alstroemeria. The different heavenly scents and beautiful shapes of each bloom is giving my room life 🙊

Paired with this stunning Spanish vase, total clash of colours.. but it brings summer into my room 🤍

A burst of colour for her home 🤍

One of my best friends has always been a faux flower purchaser. And every other week when we have our catchups I have brought flowers and created something, a larger arrangement for her living room and the left overs in a little glass either for her bedroom or the kitchen 🥰

She has been buying Sea Lavender & Wax Flower and asked for some help, so we got some pink/ yellow Alstroemeria & Pink/ yellow Freesia to add some extra colour.

She has now texted me saying that she keep buying real flowers and making arrangements for the house 🥰 this fills me with so much joy! An avid faux flower buyer to now having weekly florals in the house is absolutely fabulous!

Playing with shape and form in a low bowl arrangement. The colour pallette and flowers remind me of a very traditional style. This piece was ever evolving, constantly fiddling and changing the placement 🥰

Last weeks Peony & Sweet William arrangement. It felt very traditional this arrangement as it naturally created quite a domed shape (that I am not normally a fan of) but the scent that came off this arrangement was truly heavenly ☁️ I have had a slight peony obsession these past few weeks 🙈

Table Scapes

This is one of my dream arrangements, something I could picture in a fairy tale, an arrangement that tells a story.

Dressing the table to compliment the flowers, was just as fun as making the arrangement.

Using two runners (one of my favourite vessels) it allows for so many different shapes, whether it's a tall meadow or a dithering arrangement stretching out, something detailed and short, lots of ideas!

bowls and plates, beautiful ceramics! The colours complimented the table linen and flowers, so delicate and light alike the arrangement.

I've never really been someone that is into foliage, but I found the dried hops and the honeysuckle foliage really complemented my style 🥰

Pink Paradise 🌸

Starting out with Ophelia's Meadow - I of course haven't contacted a wholesaler just yet as I am still in the early stages. And I am not a huge fan of super market flowers and wish I could find some flower growers in my area.

But Tesco really did have some stunning flowers. The fuschia Carnations with the pale pink tips that I got for £1.50 (the hatred for Carnations blow my mind). The tulips matched the Carnations and the Stock from last week, the white Freesia also from last week matched the white Stock and lifted the arrangement as well as the lilac. I bought some Lissys too to bring another pink tone into the arrangement.

I love Freesia and Lisianthus a lot, but I have always found their shape is far too straight. I like to focus on the naturalness of a flower but with the slight manipulation of taking off the buds on the Freesia and the Lissys, really helped with the light delicate bouncy characters that added to this arrangement 🥰

2 little milk bottles with the extra bits, that are now dotted around my room - I am truly awful at throwing flowers out! Haha hopefully I will become a little more ruthless but waste not want not 🙊

I then took a photo of my vision board for Ophelia's Meadow with the arrangement as it looked super gorgeous- making my vision become a reality step by step 🦋

I did then in the middle of the night decide to light some candles and put some crystals down and have a Tarot reading 🔮 in the moonlight like a kooky little cat haha

Using table runner, such a beautiful piece, the shape of the vessel inspires your creation with each step.

Frog Arrangements

Frogs are quite fun to play with - I like the look of the light bowl arrangements, structural and elegant.

Best being slightly elevated so you cannot see the mechanics (like you can in my image 🙊)

These Butterfly Ranunculus have my heart, as the days went on the colours had evolved from a rich pink to an iridescent lilac - truly magical. Matched with the pink reflexed tulips, deep purple scabious and the pink Clematis 🌸

This was another arrangement that was a joint piece from all the ladies. We had individually made our own garlands and put them together at the end to create this elongated garland that snaked through the table.

With each garland looking completely different, we thought to dress the table like a mad hatters tea party, with different coloured candles and a mix match of accessories on the table.

Although very fun and vibrant, it does look very elegant and regal 🥰

Poppies 🌿

My love for the poppy is so out of this world, I always get that giddy feeling when you squeal like a child when I see them.

I love how structural and rigid they can be yet so elegant at the same time.

I love the way they look from closed guard petals to the open smiling heads.

I love the shape of the stem, straight lines, veering to the left or right or a wiggly line, it adds so much shape to an arrangement.

I love the bursting colours varying from white through to red. The hybrid tones throughout that spectrum and the mixture of two colours.

I love the detail in the centre of the flower with the hundreds of stamen. I love how the petals remind me of fabric, the creped detail in each petal.

I love how poetic and romantic they can look, I love how they can be the stars of the show but can also compliment and share the stage, I love how they can be bold and fun and I just love the contrast of all the ways this beautiful flower can be 😊

I just love them so much and they fill me with so much joy 🥰

And just like that..

I couldn't quite post about the end of the journey the flower school properly yesterday (I was an emotional wreck 🌸)

But wow. These 4 weeks have been the most amazing 4 weeks I have ever been a part of. Although yes, I would love to be coming back to school on Monday (rather than travelling to the airport- I would much prefer school than that anyway haha) but I have all the knowledge needed for me to 'fly my wings'😋

If you are reading this and considering any of the courses at .. do not hesitate, book it! You will not regret it not one little bit.

Rachel you have been absolutely amazing. The best teacher/ mentor ever! I am so grateful you opened a flower school to spread your knowledge on sustainable floristry and have taught all of us amazing Tallulah's the knowledge we need to succeed. I am going to miss the plethora of choccy biscuits, tea, magical doughnuts and flower deliveries (but also looking forward to the biscuit detox haha) I am so excited to watch Tallulah Rose evolve over the next few years 🤍🤍

I have learnt so much from you, about shape, structure and form. My mini meltdowns and knowing to put it down and have a moment and start again. I am going to miss your funny moments and your red boots 🥰 Thank you both so so so much. I am eternally grateful.

To all the lovely ladies I have met on this course, you have all been so inspiring, I have learnt from each and everyone of you, if its not about flowers, there is a part of you I will carry on with me on my journey 🥰 I wish you all well and I hope you are successful and have a wonderful life doing what you love 🤍 The best thing I learnt at the end of this all is how much you as a person are emulated through your flowers.. I can look at all the ladies creations and know who made what. Being told that I have my own beautiful style by one of the ladies has motivated me even more so 🌸

Just wow. So amazing. So incredible and so grateful. And so freaking excited for Ophelia's Meadow to take flight 🥰

To physically be able to make a structure that I had always wondered about was so interesting! And to work with all the lovely ladies was another learning experience, much like the arch 😊 Coming together as a team, is so great to see, especially as we are all so creative in our own different ways 🥰

Mother's Day posies in Aid for Ukraine 🇺🇦

At the we created these beautiful posies to sell where all proceeds went to the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal Crisis.

We made £400, which was such an achievement, every person that bought and simply just donated - We want to say a massive thank you for being a part of this.

Every posie was different and made by each lady 🌿 we used predominately British flowers with a few Dutch flowers.

Flower Arch

The day all the Tallulah's came together and created this beautiful flower arch. I learnt so much being paired with so many other creatives, being mindful of their ideas and learning so much from each lady.

We started off very differently and had to start again but we are all so proud of the end piece.

Of course, I placed all the Icelandic Poppies (had to get the big bouncing lovelies in somewhere).

Starting with a metal pole with velcro wrapped sticks, we created our base of foliage, then our main colour of flower we had and then the rest was history.

It was so so much fun to create this gorgeous piece. And I cannot wait to create another for a client 🥰

Table Runner Arrangement

We made a large Gypsophila arrangement starting with chicken wire sausages and well.. balls to create the base and put the gyp in till she was covered.

It reminded me of Stanford and Anthony from S*x and The City wedding vibes. A truly mesmerising delicate affair.

A beautiful arrangement my godmother was gifted. What I love about the artistry of flowers is the inspiration that I feel when gazing upon them. The ideas that flood my head with future events. Eventhough this bouquet was not in its prime days there is still beauty in the evolution of each petal, each leaf, how the colours fade, how the moisture from each element leaves creating beautiful constructed shapes, adding to all the different textures. Working through what is my style and what I want Ophelia's Meadow to be and become has been a magnificent journey. And one I cannot wait to truly get my teeth stuck into. There are a few things coming this year, that I am very excited for 😊 (so watch this space🤭). There is beauty in flowers as they age, as they evolve. Very much in the same way Ophelia's Meadow has. 🌻

I have been doing quite a bit of freelancing for the amazing and talented @harrietreillyfloraldesign 🥰 I feel so privileged to be given the oppurtunity to work with these lovely ladies to produce beautiful arrangements for someone else's big day 🤍 Yesterday's wedding arrangements made by yours truly 🦋 such an angelic colour scheme lilacs, light blues, blush pinks, deep purples, whites, peaches 🥰 From attending @tallulahroseflowerschool in March, and 3 months later having the opportunity to work with Harriet Reilly Floral Design, feels like such an amazing accomplishment and I am so so grateful and excited for what is to come 🤍

The first time I ever saw an Icelandic Poppy in an arrangement, I think was with @willowcrossleycreates and I have been obsessed ever since! This was the first time I ever got to get my hands on these gorgeous flowers. The fabric mimics crepe paper / fabric. The pleated creped petals are so delicate. The colours are to die for!! That orange hue is so utterly mind blowing! • Snakehead Fritillaries are in full bloom. I couldn't be more obsessed than I tried. Can't wait to be growing loads of these babies and using them in arrangements in the future 💗 Their checkerboard petals are something of magic! My walk to the studio - I have been foraging hopefully it'll create something dreamy 🌿

• Bought some beautiful vases yesterday, that would look absolutely beautiful with tall spindley stems and big bulbous heads. I can't wait to use them 🥰 I also purchased 6 little school milk bottles that I think would be perfect as little bud vases and smaller arrangements. So very cute. Or planting singular stems to shoot out and have placed on the window sill 🌿 My collection of containers are growing, I am always looking out for the different and quirky bases. I bought my glass loose leaf tea pot a couple years ago and never used it.
