Mae’r pianydd a’r cyfansoddwr Harold López-Nussa wedi bod yn datblygu dilyniant byd-eang mewn jazz a thu hwnt yn gyson dros y ddau ddegawd diwethaf ers ennill Cystadleuaeth Piano Jazz fawreddog Montreux yn 2005. Wedi’i eni i deulu cerddorol yn Havana, Ciwba, mae ei gerddoriaeth yn adlewyrchu holl ystod a chyfoeth y traddodiad cerddorol Ciwba gyda’i gyfuniad nodedig o elfennau gwerinol, poblogaidd, a chlasurol, yn ogystal â’i waith byrfyfyr.
Pianist and composer Harold López-Nussa has been steadily building a global following in jazz and beyond over the past two decades since winning the prestigious Montreux Jazz Piano Competition in 2005. Born into a musical family in Havana, Cuba, his music reflects the full range and richness of the Cuban musical tradition with its distinctive combination of folkloric, popular, and classical elements, as well as its embrace of improvisation.
