Dear Followers,
Many of you I have met in person .. some we haven’t met .. yet ! So just to introduce myself fully ! I am Louise Nixon (Stewart ) of Banwell Blooms and Primrose Farm Orchard. I trained nearly 2 years ago as a professional florist in Bristol .. prior to floristry I was ( and still am part time !) an advisory teacher for children with special needs, a qualified teacher of the visually impaired and a sight loss advisor for a local charity.

I have always had a strong connection to healing and supporting .. even before teaching I trained in massage and healing - I am also a trained Reiki practitioner. I had my own practice as well as working at many healing venues. I have always grown flowers and plants and had a strong connection to nature. My Mum and my Grandmother have both been flower arrangers and I have followed in their footsteps. I feel the healing nature of flowers and the way they can hold people during certain times in their lives as well as improve mood and wellbeing.

Learn how to make floral arrangements in a hatbox - very easy to add flowers to the compostable water source .. or if you would like to bring your own vase you can make a hand tied bouquet !

What a lovely afternoon with these super creative ladies !! They learnt how to create a hand tied bouquet using a range of traditional and modern floristry techniques.. hand - tied bouquets can be placed straight into a vase .. no need to re arrange .. they are already perfectly designed using space, texture, movement and colour .. look at these beauties !!

Happy Friday ! I think we are in for a few sunny days .. hurrah ! Good for us and the flowers! Some lovely floral gifts have been delivered this week .. Occasion boxes for birthdays, Thankyou bouquets, Sympathy flowers which can be such a comfort at a difficult time …and a lovely ‘just because’ for an appreciated wife ..love that !! ❤️…such a lovely surprise and an honour to deliver .. we will be busy picking at our farm this weekend … place your orders for delivery and don’t forget we will be at Banwell Monthly Market August 3rd this month - not the usual date !!! Did you know it’s ! A celebration of the beautiful blooms grown by UK growers ! We grow ours in our 2 acre heritage orchard from April to October ( we make cider too ).

We don’t use chemicals or pesticides and use organic growing methods - the eco systems in our orchard are thriving !

Update- Our summer flowers are getting there .. plenty of Sweet Williams left and nigellas (Love in a Mist) are about to burst ! Ammi, gypsophilla, Dahlias, verbena, salvia, amaranthus, snapdragons and more all on their way !
We also buy from other local growers as well as a trusted wholesaler to ensure we can provide any floral arrangement requested throughout the year... we also offer larger floral arrangements for weddings, funerals and events as well as floral workshops and private functions e.g. hen do’s 💐💐💐
