Flowers for this week .. so we have nearly come to the end of our orchard grown flowers .. it’s always sad to say goodbye especially to our favourite and signature flowers Dahlias 😢! However … we do continue to create bouquets and arrangements through the year .. using a trusted wholesaler and choosing the flowers with as least shipping miles as possible .. so what are your favourites ? Looking forward to Banwell Monthly Market this Saturday 9.30-12.30 Banwell Scout Hut.. I will have fresh bouquets straight from our flower farm … dried bouquets and arrangements .. all great for gifts and treats ! Also some very cute test tube vases …Hatbox flowers and a pumpkin arrangement …I will be taking pre orders ready for Halloween!

Dear Followers,
Many of you I have met in person .. some we haven’t met .. yet ! So just to introduce myself fully ! I am Louise Nixon (Stewart ) of Banwell Blooms and Primrose Farm Orchard. I trained nearly 2 years ago as a professional florist in Bristol .. prior to floristry I was ( and still am part time !) an advisory teacher for children with special needs, a qualified teacher of the visually impaired and a sight loss advisor for a local charity.

I have always had a strong connection to healing and supporting .. even before teaching I trained in massage and healing - I am also a trained Reiki practitioner. I had my own practice as well as working at many healing venues. I have always grown flowers and plants and had a strong connection to nature. My Mum and my Grandmother have both been flower arrangers and I have followed in their footsteps. I feel the healing nature of flowers and the way they can hold people during certain times in their lives as well as improve mood and wellbeing.

Although this aspect of what I do is always present, if it is something you feel you would like to explore further.. let me know when you next order a bouquet .. I will be offering free consultations to work with flowers and their healing properties.. more info to follow !
