It’s Christmas Eve in Victorian England and Ebenezer Scrooge is as grumpy as ever - no twinkling lights, no festive cheer, just pure bah-humbug!

But as the cold night draws in, four ghostly spirits whisk Scrooge on a whirlwind adventure through his past, present, and future, to show him the true meaning of Christmas.

Packed with festive fun, lively music, and a sprinkle of magic, this timeless classic will be brought to life at the Playhouse for Christmas 2025. Adapted for the stage by Deborah McAndrew, directed by Amy Leach (Mr Snow, Animal Farm, Macbeth), and with set & costume design by Hayley Grindle, A Christmas Carol promises a heart-warming and joyful experience for all.

Join us for festive magic and an unforgettable journey of redemption and cheer.

A little thank you.

18 years ago whilst working in London, I took the chance to see a show. It was new. My fellow colleagues the following morning were all talking about what we went to see the night before. A literal tumbleweed appeared in the room when I mentioned what I’d been to see.
‘That won’t last’.

That show was Wicked.

Every show was new, once.

Rocky Horror was deemed an utter failure.
It’s still touring today.

So thank you to everyone (how small that group may be) that books on something they haven’t seen. That doesn’t wait for the hype. That gives something a chance.

6 years ago today I went to my 50th trip, Club Tropicana, and absolutely adored it. It wasn’t well attended and we’ve never seen it since, even though everyone I took also loved it.

Two of the best things I’ve seen recently…..Life of Pi and Come from away, also very hard to sell because ‘I haven’t heard of it’.

So thank you to those who go and see something new.

We need you people. Toss toss.

In 1930s London ordinary people emerge from cheap boarding houses nightly to pour out their passions, hopes and dreams in the pubs and fog-bound streets of Soho and Fitzrovia. Step inside The Midnight Bell, a tavern where one particular lonely-hearts club gather to play out their lovelorn affairs of the heart; bitter comedies of longing, frustration, betrayal and redemption.

Inspired by the great English novelist Patrick Hamilton, who created some of the most authentic fiction of his era; stories borne out of years of social interactions with the working man and woman at his favourite location - the London Pub.

Hailed by The Observer as ‘the undisputed king of dance theatre’, master storyteller Matthew Bourne has created some of the most successful dance productions of the last thirty years including Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Red Shoes, Romeo and Juliet and Edward Scissorhands.

The Midnight Bell premiered to great acclaim in 2021 and received five nominations at the 2022 National Dance Awards, with Matthew Bourne winning the award for Best Modern Choreography and Michela Meazza for Outstanding Female Modern Performance.

The cast for The Midnight Bell will feature fourteen of New Adventures’ finest actor/dancers in roles that challenge and reveal the darker reaches of the human heart.

💙Leeds Grand💙
❤️£98 including coach return❤️
🩷To be paid by 1st August🩷

£15 non refundable deposit per person required to secure booking.

WARNING: this show is highly offensive, recommended for ages 15+
Strong s*xual themes occur throughout the Musical. Topics include crass jokes about ge***al mutilation, be******ty, s*x with infants, AIDS, oral and a**l s*x and extremely offensive language. You have been warned!

The show tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries who travel to Africa to preach the Mormon religion, only to discover they have a lot more to learn about the real world than they have to teach about Mormonism.

When the pair of opposites land in a poverty-stricken, crime-riddled and disease-filled village in Uganda, the enigmatic over-achiever and prideful Mormon Elder Price learns that charms and good looks don’t get you far. As for his awkward and enthusiastic partner Elder Cunningham; well, he’s just happy to have a friend and be included in something. Thousands of miles from Salt Lake City and facing the biggest of reality checks, Elder Price’s faith is shaken. He must convince himself of the scriptures he’s preaching before he can convert any of the locals who are more concerned with war, famine, and AIDS than Mormonism. However, armed with his own interpretation of the Book and an innocent disposition, Elder Cunningham thrives… sort of.

I share sad news again, this time, that Coraline has been cancelled.

This is not due to sales, but due to issues with allegations against the writer (I’m sure you can all look it up).

Irrelevant of this, I send my sincere thoughts to all those performers and technicians that were due to be part of this production that have now lost their jobs.

I will be in touch with everyone regarding moving payments to other shows, or refunding, bear with 💜

Please take a look at my previous post with what was still on sale, please consider another booking, please support the arts 🎭 🥹

Happy New Year and all that 🎇

£1152 to go.

I am not to blame for your banking. It’s not my fault you wait til the literal day to sort these things.

So…also…..there are certain people who ‘send’ me money and it takes 3/4 days to appear, claiming this is the banking. I cannot work this way. The money needs to clear with me BY the deadline. Plan please.

❌FEBRUARY 1st DEADLINE❌

Poppins
Cruel intentions
Swan Lake

To understand the stress…..Poppins alone is a 34 grand bill for me. So yes, every ticket counts.
I am giving absolutely no extensions. All these shows had several months to pay.

💜

31/12/2024

🙏 Please put the name of the SHOW as a reference, my psychic powers aren’t that good. Especially when many of you are booked on several.

❌I don’t do extensions. Most shows have nine months to pay on them, it’s not my fault you waited til the last month to remember you booked it or you ‘didn’t check Facebook’ or ‘it doesn’t send me notifications’. I am not responsible to ‘remind’ you on any of the bookings. Guess what? The page doesn’t notify me of any comments either, but I still check.
Asking for an extension is the same as saying ‘Michelle, will you give me a loan’, so no. I won’t.

❓I don’t know who you booked for. The person whose name books, is responsible for them all. ‘She’s gonna send you it’…..a person who I don’t know or have a name for, is an impossible task.

£4659 to go.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

A special thank you to those who’ve messaged offering and asking for any tickets that don’t sell. Bless ya 🥰
