Michelle Is the owner and cake designer at The Princess & The Cupcake. After years of baking as a child, Michelle started baking for her own children, in June 2012 Michelle decided to become a registered baker with environmental health and do something she loved for a living.
In 2016 Michelle won the Food P**n award in the Alternative eats section, beating huge players in the Northwest food scene at the time such as Sapporo Teppanyaki, Manzo Liverpool and Burger & Lobster.
Michelle makes beautiful cakes that taste DELICOUS. She offers a substantial cake flavour menu and has also worked with couples to invent cake flavours that are reminiscent of their childhood. They have included Palma Violet flavour, Rhubarb and Custard and She’s even made a Manchester Tart flavoured cake! It's her delicious light cakes that have ensured her business has thrived and grown over the last almost 10 years.
She is a preferred baker of the Oddfellows on The Park in Cheadle Hulme, Michelle has also worked with Manchester Art Gallery as their preferred cake maker.
Michelle offers her couples a completely bespoke service, from design, to flavour and decoration. She’s a firm believer that a wedding cake should be a reflection of the couple on their special day. She also delivers wedding cakes throughout the Northwest and has gone as far up as Ayre in Scotland and Sherwood Forest in Nottingham.
From the first contact to after the wedding she likes to leave her couples with a positive memory of their wedding cake.
Michelle has also been nominated again this year for the County Brides Wedding Awards.
