Wombwell Operatic Society

Wombwell Operatic Society An amateur theatre company based in Wombwell on the outskirts of Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

We produce five main shows per year including a family pantomime and a junior production which features local youngsters up to the age of sixteen. We hold rehearsals on a Wednesday evening from 7.30pm- 10.00pm and welcome anybody who has an interest in appearing on stage, building sets, rigging and operating lighting and everything in between. No matter what your interest, everyone of any age is welcome to come along and get involved.

Please note that the ALADDIN panto read throughs and rehearsals will start today (Wednesday 27 November) and at this stage is for over 14s / adults only. Under 14s are requested to attend from the 6th January.

November is a busy month for the Wombwell Operatic Society with "The Addams Family" running 20th to 23rd November, and just a week after we have our annual Christmas Coffee Morning - on Saturday 30th November 10am to 1pm - see poster for details. Free entry and lots of Christmas stalls, as well as a raffle and tombola, and bring the children to see Santa too! A great introduction to the Christmas festivities! 🎅🎄
