People are often surprised by the luxury and quality of our dresses, because we sell off the peg, they come and see us last thinking they won’t get the proper bridal experience.

This couldn’t be further from the truth!

So let me tell you what to expect when you visit Bridal Reloved Barnstaple and hopefully you will put us to the top of your list.

Firstly, you will see me, Kimberley. I am the only stylist at Bridal Reloved Barnstaple so you know who you will be meeting with. The kettle will be on and I will be excited to hear all about your wedding plans!

I have over 55 luxury bridal designers in my store. Most boutique are contracted to stock three to five designers so by visiting us it’s like visiting over 10 places in one go!

We are not limited to what is currently in season so if you are looking to broaden your search and see a variety of styles, Bridal Reloved Barnstaple is for you.

Some boutiques charge for appointments- here you get 120 minutes of my undivided attention, experience (and sometimes entertainment) for free.

No hidden costs- we don’t charge extras, the hanger, bag and steaming are included in the price of your dress.

We also have a fabulous range of veils, hair accessories and shoes to complete your bridal look.

We know loads of really awesome wedding suppliers who can help you to plan the most incredible wedding. It’s all part of the service!

My main piece of advice when you book in is to be READY to find your dress! We only have one of each so if you find her and fall in love, be prepared to say YES!

Bridal Reloved Barnstaple has recently been nominated for the southwestweddingawards which, I feel, is a HUGE achievement and I would absolutely love to make it to the Finals in September. This is where I need your help…

💖 Let’s talk about bridal sizing… 💖

Yes, it’s absolutely true, your bridal size will be completely different to your usual day-to-day high street clothing size and here’s why...

Bridal sizing is based on traditional European sizing from the 1940s and designers still use these original charts today. But just to keep us all on our toes, designers have different interpretations of these charts depending on the pattern/style of the dress. It’s why you will find that you will try on a variety of sizes… usually bigger (x2 or x3) than your actual high-street size.

So, if the size on the label is something you feel self-conscious or anxious about, please don’t! Firstly it’s just a number, and secondly it’s not a true reflection on your body size, it’s a reflection on the little known tradition above 👆.

Are you planning to wear a veil?

Veils are a time-honoured tradition dating back decades, as far back as the pagans and Romans where brides would use veils to disguise themselves from evil spirits.

As time evolved, the veil represented a brides purity, chastity and modesty and are still used this way for religious or cultural beliefs today.

The modern bride wears a veil simply as an accessory to make a statement and reflect individuality and are making a huge comeback!
