This morning, I made a large tribute for a funeral and this afternoon I got it back and converted it into two large bouquets and one smaller one (resting in a bucket) to be delivered back to the family tomorrow - if it had been left at the crem it would have been binned which would have been a waste of lovely flowers!

A funeral tribute made yesterday recycled into a hatbox today and delivered to the family - otherwise the flowers are just left at the crematorium and thrown away!

Recently I made some pedestals for a funeral at Goxhill Church and because it is Lent they had to be removed out of the church the next day - what to do with lots of expensive flowers?

The family concerned came up with a brilliant idea which was for me to take the pedestals apart and make them up into bouquets for friends, local care homes and hospices which, I think is a great way to ‘reuse’ them and ensure they are not wasted given that funeral flowers are expensive.

With the above in mind, I will now be offering this option for funeral flowers that are ordered through me that would otherwise be thrown away at the crematorium. They can be re-made into hatboxes, posies and bouquets and distributed in accordance with the family’s wishes with a card saying ‘in memory of [name]’
