It's been a little while since I shared a mix - this one was re-recorded from a set I played on Bloop London Radio late last year. It's an indulgent mix, throwing in some special tracks from heroes of mine; Sasha, Digweed, Because of Art, Framewerk and some golden 'oldies' from Matt Darey and Lucky7's very special remix of a classic trance track.

I hope you enjoy.

If you're ever in St Albans as I was this past Wednesday, you owe it to yourself to pop into this man's gallery. has painstakingly and faithfully recreated iconic 7" vinyl sleeves capturing the dawn and growth of rock and roll through the ages. The cultural impact this genre of music had is well known, but the art that accompanied was more subversive. Record sleeves were a launchpad for design icons whose art was propelled into the zeitgeist as music led culture and fashion during the second half of the 20th century. Getting to chat with the man that has dedicated himself to recreating these to meticulous detail was seriously inspiring.

As a DJ and extremely casual artist myself, this was a shot in the arm for me to see what's possible beyond the graphic design I have done to support mixtapes and event posters. It has shown me a way of expanding my creativity and giving flowers to the artists, labels and scene that has sculpted the dance music image and club culture since the late 80s.

Did last Saturday actually happen?

Pinching myself that I followed .gurd on the decks last Saturday at my event, SOCO LOCO.

Crowd was hot. Jon was sublime, playing some epic bangers from his catalog of tunes and his brand new Coda EP.

We heard thumpers from , and and a ton more. The music was so good it was nuts.

It was such a turbulent week that led to it, but the payoff on Saturday was incredible.

Hope to be back on it with the amazing .uk crew again soon!

Crazy good time at Suburbia last Saturday and a special thank you to everyone who attended.

Playing a set directly following an artist like Jon Gurd, whom I hugely admire and adore for his work was nerve inducing in the extreme. Running the whole event on top of that was bordering on colonic levels of fear, but everyone teamed up to make it something truly special and I thank the almighty for the friends that made it happen.

One month from today, we're going to blow the roof off yet again. Only this time we've got help from local lad and Anjunadeep's very own .gurd

Each iteration of Soco Loco aims to be bigger and a more immersive experience than the last. I cannot wait for this!!

The imposter syndrome is real. Sat on this news absolutely buzzing and yet frozen in headlights because of how much I'm not ready for this yet. My life is a bit of a work in progress at the moment, but I keep pushing forward, and this possible journey takes me closer to knowing whether I've got the right stuff or not. I've loved music since forever and dreaming about doing something really creative with it, has always been just that, a dream. I still pinch myself daily that I'm really DJ'ing.

So with nothing to lose, I sent in a track I made to a creative college and then this happened.

Now I need to go shopping for big boy pants - a brown pair to be safe... 2025 here we come!

So, this is happening!

Pumped to be playing a showcase at the imperious studio next month. Unsure what I'll play as yet, but im seriously looking forward to it. So many artists and amazing DJs are or have been a part of this station and it's nuts I'll be an alumni.

Imposter syndrome is real, each and every time I turn on the decks, but 2024 is and will be a year for pushing in the right direction in all things. Can I cut it as a full time DJ, even producer? we'll see.

I love it, and that helps.

Played a funk and soul set last Friday (because theres a ton of synergy with my regular genres), and had the pleasure of chatting to a few punters who kept me on the right path throughout the night.

Getting that interaction with any crowd on a gig is life-giving behind the booth and can be the difference between feeling it after an hour or having the energy to go until you're told to stop.

It was also great to change it up a bit and slip in some Stevie Wonders and Sister Sledge for the win.

Finished the night on a supremely funky remix of Natural Blues.

Boom. I 'defiantly' hope to be back soon Jonny!

What a f*cking special bunch of people these are.

Saturday just gone, we launched out into the world at

What a night. What incredible music and feedback so good it looks like we're coming back.

This year I launched .uk to not just be a vehicle for invoicing and booking gigs, but also to throw awesome events for our DJs to showcase what we're about and more. SOCO LOCO was the first and these guys ALL knocked it out of the park.

We got a big freakin tick. Punters loved it and so did we. In a crowded weekend full of pride celebration, we didn't know what we would be treated to, but those who joined us at the start, stayed until the end and will be back for us again. And WE WILL BE BACK.

It wasn't easy, but what matters never is. , thank you x
