Debs & Roz from @wildzinniabristol joined me in the studio today for a 2:1 and our focus was foam free floral structures, look what they made!
It was SO beautiful and the scent was unreal.
Thank you @therealflowerco and @hedgerowandbloom for the fabulous flowers and @gbfoliage & @porters_covent_garden for the foliage and thank you Debs & Roz for coming to Floribunda Rose Flower School, I hope you enjoyed today as much as I did! ✨
It has been a little while since I have shared what we’ve been up to so thought I’d share a snippet of last weekend’s wedding set up at @belmondlemanoir with you, our last of the season! Cath & Graham are the loveliest couple and it was so lovely to be able to flower their intimate wedding and see them get married in glorious late autumn sunshine surrounded by their nearest and dearest. They trusted us to do our thing using seasonal blooms, incorporating orchid plants and lots of fabulous colour and I can honestly say that we loved every moment. Thanks so much to Le Manoir for being so accommodating too - the coffee was appreciated and the biscuits were ridiculously delicious ✨We’re still awaiting our new roof at the studio but are hoping we can get back to running sustainable floristry classes again really soon 🤞🤞🤞
I still get butterflies in my stomach when I deliver bridal bouquets. I used to think that when I’d had more practice and felt like a ‘proper florist’ that would go away… it doesn’t, and I’m glad. It’s one of the ways that I know that I’m in the right job. If I stopped getting butterflies I’d seriously consider hanging up my wedding florist apron, and doing something else, because how much a bride loves her bouquet is hugely important to me, especially given the fact she has trusted me to create something without my guaranteeing a single flower, based on her colour palette and which flowers are at their most beautiful that week.
It has been such a gorgeous week of flowering this week... I’ve been teaching 1:1’s in the studio and had meetings about some seriously exciting upcoming projects. It was lovely to start the week by visiting West End Flower Farm - feels like spring is here!
Here’s where we’re moving to! There’s still plenty to do but our new place on
Whitehouse Farm in Hook is more than twice the size of the Eversley Studio & we’ll be able to do SO much more in our new space... once it’s ready... (We’ll even have hoops on pulleys for our floral & foliage hoop workshops) I’ll keep you posted on progress & hope you’ll come see it for yourself someday!
Well as beautiful as it was in Eversley it’s time to move Floribunda Rose A few miles up the road to pastures new... End of an era!
A little glimpse of Tom's Studio dressed & ready for RHS #chelseaflowershow ~ What a busy few days!!!
Thank you for the gorgeous flowers Niki Buckets of Blooms ~ looking forward to making something later on this afternoon... lovely couples to meet first though. Happy Sunday all X
Not long now... full details coming really soon!
(Can you tell I’m a bit excited already?!)
