Enjoy a friendly and relaxed weekend of live music and culture around a free outdoor stage in the beautiful village of Priston, 6 miles from Bath. The yearly festival boasts an impressive line-up of live music (traditional, jazz, world, blues, rock, classical, choral) on a free open-air stage, as well as kids’ events, morris dancing, singing and dance workshops, children's art project, performance

poetry, book talk, market stalls, food/drink etc. The 2014 festival will be held 19-21 September. The festival is run by the community and a committee registered as a charity. Founded because a love of live music. Note: There is v limited possibility for camping by private arrangement on local farm.

We notice that when houses are for sale in Priston The Priston Music Festival seems to always get a mention in the sales details. A current sales blurb says; "The village is known for hosting an annual community arts festival, which includes music, arts, and performances, bringing together locals and visitors in a lively, family-friendly environment." The Joff Lowson Trio were so great last year doing the Friday night village hall gig, so they are back this year on the main stage, Sat 14th Sept afternoon. Joff is a dazzling banjo player. He plays many great Americana songs and some of his own compositions. Here they are that Shepton Mallet Art Bank recently. (No ticket needed but there is a car parking fee). We are so excited that the brilliant Sister Bodhi - Bella Collins & Jodie Marie will be doing our celebrated Friday Night Village Hall gig to open the 2024 Priston Music Festival ; 13 09 2024. This is a ticketed gig:- sitting at tables, candles, bar etc. See the website for all details. (It usually sells out!). Here is clip from a house concert they did for us last year.
