🎵 Our music bingos at The Spindle are so popular now that sadly not everyone who wants to come manages to secure a table. The first game yesterday had a Mother’s Day theme, so it was great to see so many new faces coming out specially, to celebrate with their mums. My two big kids as usual were there singing and laughing with all their cousins. It’s a privilege to be called their mum, and I appreciate the fact they travel from London each month to join in all the fun and shenanigans! I still have to pinch myself that my events attract so many people now, how I get away with winging it every month is still a great mystery to me! I do know however, that it wouldn’t be possible without the support of Fran and her staff at The Spindle. They work their little socks off each month to ensure everything is perfect, and each and everyone has the best time, they really are amazing at what they do!

👏 Ironically, it was two men who won the jackpots last night: David winning the first game with a cash prize of £100, and Terry the second with winnings of £300.

🗓️ Our next music bingo will be on Monday 28th April (theme to be decided). I believe it’s almost full, but if you hurry you may still be able to book a cheeky table online.

👏 We had an incredible ‘sold-out’ night here in my home town at Beaconsfield Town FC (aka Holloways Park), yesterday. In fact the night was so busy, we ended up sticking to numbers in the quiz, rather than names, but it certainly didn’t dampen the fun! A host always feeds on the enthusiasm & energy of their audience, and this one had it in abundance.

🎵📱Our lucky players were treated to a full on QuizzySue experience last night, with a fun music video bingo to warm us up, followed by one of my infamous, personalised wireless quizzes. We had fourteen quiz teams battling it out yesterday, and because the rankings were changing almost every round it made for a very exciting evening.

🏆 However, it was Table Ten who were our overall champions yesterday, with Table Six and Table Two closely clipping at their heels in Silver & Bronze positions. Congratulations you smarty pants, you all played an absolute blinder!

🙏 Thank you to everyone who came along to support the club, I really did appreciate the glorious feedback I got at the end of the evening, tipsy or otherwise, they all still count! 😂

📝 Oh, and for those who like facts & stats the breakdown of the scores and timings are always interesting to read (please see photos below). Although speed plays a big part in my quizzes, as you will see, sometimes it’s the players who take that wee bit longer to answer that grab those vital points in the end. Well done Zoe (Handset 37) who was our individual winner of the evening - being brought up in a quiz obsessed family has finally paid off! It was great to see Table Six players in the mix too - this lovely family used to join us for our online family lockdown quizzes in 2020/21 and it’s always great to see them rock up to one of my events.

✏️ So alongside my wireless quizzes and music bingos, did you know I host ‘pen & paper’ pub quizzes too? Of course, they’re not your usual traditional quiz, I never do things by half. They are always fully interactive and presented on ‘all singing, dancing’ PowerPoints, with music and video bites. I myself have always been a visual learner so I think seeing the question written up on a big screen as well as hearing it, adds another dimension to a quiz.

⛳️ So anyway, Glenn & I had the privilege of hosting a big quiz for a local golf club on Saturday night with nearly 90 fun-loving players battling it out for the top podium position. Oohs, aahs & laughs were aplenty, especially when the whiteboards came out for the cheeky bonus questions! Looking at the final results table, those bonus points can actually make all the difference. Not that the winners needed them…

🏆 Many congratulations to our winners, Lucky Table Number 7. They played an absolute blinder (especially the ladies!), and thoroughly deserved their win.

❤️ Mothers are so special we celebrate them not once, but twice here at The Spindle! Our next Music Bingo will be the day after Mother’s Day on Monday 31 March. It costs £5 (cash only for the bingo), for the two cards, with the option to purchase more on the night.

🎵 What a Gr8 night we had at our ‘Numbers’ themed Music Bingo on Monday! Songs ranged from One Love to Nine Million Bicycles and of course, our fun-loving players sang their little hearts out.

💰About £800 was given away in cash prizes during the evening - Rob won the jackpot prize of £100 on our first game and Danielle took away winnings of £300 in the second! 👏

📣 Quiz teams assemble! This should be a fabulous night in a lovely venue with lots of parking, which is always a bonus. My wireless quizzes are both inclusive and light-hearted, and in my humble opinion, should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

🧮 So the good news is that our next Music Bingo is on Mon 24 February; the themed game this month is ‘Living by Numbers’ eg song titles and artists that feature a number of some kind.

🙃The not so good news is that this event is now fully booked! Well done for those of you who are already booked in. For those who have missed out, please feel free to book online for the next one on Mon 31 March 2025. It’ll have a Mother’s Day theme, so don’t forget to bring your mummy! The food at The Spindle is great, so why not push the boat out and treat her to a slap-up meal too?

** Can I politely request that when booking a table, that you ensure you are booking for the correct number of players and not just giving an ‘optimistic’ number. The venue is having to disappoint a lot of customers, and it is very frustrating when for instance only six people turn up for a table booking of twelve. Likewise, if you no longer require a table, please let the venue know asap so they can release it. Thank you. 🙏

🎵 A fabulous night of Music Bingo kicked off the New Year perfectly on Monday. The Spindle, as usual, was jam-packed, full of friendly, fun-loving people of all ages. I love how inclusive these nights are!

💰 Lots of Prosecco and big cash prizes were won - congratulations to Charlotte who won the big jackpot of £250. Even my son Luke picked up a £100 win for his two line claim. Never seen a card marked quite like his, what an oddball! 😂

🗓️ Our next music bingo will be on Monday 24th February. You’ll need to book online to secure a table, but be quick… tables go fast!

The theme for the first game is gonna be ‘Inappropriate Funeral Songs’ - a tongue in cheek look at songs that would raise a few eyebrows if played at someone’s funeral. I haven’t finalised my playlist yet so if you have any ‘fun’ suggestions I’d love to hear them. If it makes me chuckle, it’s in!

🎤 We had a great night hosting our last ‘Shot in the Dark’ quiz yesterday evening, with five boisterous teams competing for the coveted plastic trophy! Well done team Number One for securing the winners’ title.

🔊 I’ve had some wonderful feedback about this new style of pub quizzing so although I’ll not be hosting regularly here anymore, it’s certainly something new to put in my back pocket. Thanks to everyone who came along to support me over the last few months, it’s been a blast!

🎄 🔔 🎵 💰 My last Music Bingo of the year at The Spindle & Thread was an absolute belter! The crowd were as brilliant as ever and they sang their little hearts out. As well as lots of complementary shots given out by Fran and her team, over £1k of cash was given out in prize money too!
