So much care goes into funeral tributes made by me.
🌸First of all, the flowers often mean something to those that are remembering or to the departed - the colour combination along with the mix of flowers needs to be carefully chosen to achieve a balanced and beautiful effect. Forget about using up stock flowers - all of our flowers are bought fresh the day before they are needed.
🌸Secondly, where will the flowers go after the service? I do a lot of funeral tributes like this one for placement at Greenacres in Jordans. Despite the fact that I will always use biodegradable materials where possible, Greenacres woodland require all tributes to be made in this way. Not all florists can do this for you.
🌸I am really happy to be associated with Opals Funeral Directors in Hedgerley who take the greatest care when handling the flowers and helping the bereaved with the funeral planning.
It is the last thing you can do for a loved one so think carefully about your choice of florist and funeral director - it will make a hard time a little easier for you...🤗

There is nothing quite like a shower bouquet - the work that goes into these is big but it shows. I created this one for Tash last week and the look on her face when I delivered it spoke many words 💕
My work is so worthwhile when you see the smiles at the end 😄

🌷Lorna asked for lily and tulips to be included in her bouquet. They held a special meaning for her and her groom but I was slightly concerned about including lily because:-

1) They are often used in funeral tributes
2) Some people are allergic to the pollen so we are very often asked to avoid them
3) Lilies are a quite dominant flower and Lorna wanted other flowers included in her bouquet
4) Top reason is that whatever you do, you cannot guarantee lily's will open for a particular day. I've had plenty for a week or more and they are still closed!

💕 In the end, all went to plan and Lorna's bouquet is still a favourite of mine...

Can you see where I was today? My old haunt in hurley - a favourite wedding venue of mine. This time, I worked with .secretgardenflorist to dress the ceremony room in the barn. What a glorious day 🥰. No lie in's for us on a Sunday morning - don't usually have a couple of minutes to allow filming before setting off for a wedding. Feeling in control so allowed the camera man in for a few moments 😉 Loading up the van takes about an hour and we can't do in advance given this weather ☀️ Looking forward to the day ahead as it's a beautiful wedding. Not quite as hot as today but perfect weather with a light breeze for Sophie's wedding last weekend. 🌸 Light and airy vibe, especially with the tables spaced out in the marquee.
