At The Bulkeley we like to support local community art, history and nature projects including amateur performing arts groups and local crafts-people. ***Did you know that our function rooms are available to hire FREE of charge during off-peak periods for projects that benefit the local community and our hotel visitors? *** And during mid-peak periods, room hire rates are only £50 per day. It is only at high-peak periods during the school holidays or some popular weekends that we charge our standard room hire fees.

Therefore, if you are part of a local arts group, amateur dramatics society, photography group, history group or an independent local crafts worker or artist and you wish to offer either a one-off event or regular weekly rehearsals please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and our function room availability.

We offer a variety of function rooms, most of which offer stunning views over the Menai Steait and Snowdonia Mountain Range:

🍽️ Hansom’s Restaurant is available for daytime functions noon - 4pm, 6 days per week for private luncheon functions or afternoon tea functions (capacity 65 people)

💃 Our elegant Art Deco Ballroom with private bar & wooden dance floor is available for craft fairs, large workshops or exhibitions, yoga classes, bridge and chess groups, martial arts classes, history talks, ballroom dancing classes, concerts, dinner dances, fashion shows, theatrical performances, weddings, funerals, christenings and so much more. Available 7 days per week 8am - midnight.

👨🏻‍🎨 The Bulkeley Art Gallery is perfect as an art or photography exhibition space providing budding artists and photographers the opportunity to exhibit their work without any costs. A low 20% commission charge is only payable on any work you sell. This space can also seat up to 10 people for more intimate workshops such as sewing and knitting groups and art and crafts classes and is available free of charge. Furthermore, for any workshops held in this area we’ll support your class by giving your participants 20% off our food and drinks menus so that you can provide a break for refreshments. (Available 7 days per week, 8am - 10pm)

🍽️ For private groups we offer private dining facilities catering for 8 people in our art gallery, up to 30 people in our Llewelyn Suite, up to 65 people in Hansom’s Restaurant and up to 85 people in our ballroom with these rooms available free of charge for private functions at off-peak times and our standard function hire fees apply at peak times.

If you are involved in a local community arts, history or nature projects and are looking for a venue to host your meeting or event, before you pay fees to hire your stark village hall we would be delighted to hear from you so that we can host your event in a warm, inviting and elegant atmosphere. ⚔️☕️🍰 Have you visited Beaumaris Castle yet? Open every day to visitors throughout winter. Why not make a historical day of it and pop into The Bulkeley just 2 minutes walk from the Castle to enjoy the Victorian tradition of Afternoon Tea amidst Georgian elegance.

Beaumaris Castle, Wales is an unfinished masterpiece built by Edward I as part of his 'iron ring' of Welsh castles.

Built in 1295, its construction was halted when funds ran out. The six great towers in the inner ward never reached their intended height. Despite this, it remains one of the finest Edwardian castles in Wales.
