🤍🤍🤍

One of my favourite things about weddings or civil partnerships is the outpouring of love show on these special days not just to partners, but to friends and family. It’s so lovely to see a small glimpse of that when I deliver the personal flowers to their recipients. There’s always so much joy in the air. I like to think of bridesmaid or best peoples’ flowers as small tokens of appreciation and a commemoration of special relationships. Whether they be bouquets, boutonnières, corsages or flower crowns… they’re a little mark of love.

Here we see O’s bouquet alongside her two bridesmaids’ bouquets. Three beauties captured so well by at this June.

If you’re planning your wedding for next year, I’d love to chat about what I could do for you. Please get in touch and we can arrange an initial consultation to talk through your flowers and how I can help bring your vision to life. Send me a message or get in touch via my website 🤍

🧡 H’s bouquet 🧡

Congratulations to H&T who married yesterday. I loved working with you on this brief of white and green flowers with touches of peaches, oranges and reds. Such a modern, classy look!

The first of the scented geranium is in here too… one of my favourite foliages for texture and scent. And the first of the dahlia! A gorgeous, seasonal bouquet.

🚕🌸🤍

Here C is with her bouquet last year. Full of the best of the start of July in a beautiful pastel-ly palette of blues, lilacs, pinks and whites. I will never tire of seeing flowers out in the wild, fulfilling their role to help make these most special of days.

This bouquet is in great company too, paired with this gorgeous bag 🤍

🌈 A nice big vase of flowers 🌈

One of my favourite requests is a nice big vase of flowers! They’re simple yet impactful and can be moved around easily.

This beauty (and its partner) travelled from the church ceremony to the reception venue, and was then positioned for the wedding breakfast and the dance floor afterwards. A super versatile choice!

🧡 S’s bouquet 🧡

Congratulations to S and T who married yesterday! Here is S’s bouquet which was full of scented roses, sweet peas and the last of the peonies (swipe through to see it!).

S wanted a relatively upright bouquet full of different shades of pink, peach and hits of lilac and orange. I kept it natural looking with the slight variations in height and the wiggle of the sweet peas and geums. I loved working with these ingredients and colour palette. And of course with S and T to bring their wedding flower vision to life!

❤️💗 A tangle of June 💗❤️

I love this colour palette of reds and pinks and the tangle of some of June’s finest offerings. In contrast to the big, showy peonies in my last post, these delicate, entwined beauties offer just as much I think.

I love their subtle elegance and that they’re still fun with the bright colours and dancing stems. These positioned all along a mantle or a shorter version running the length of long dining tables would look so elegant at a wedding or dinner.

If you’re planning your wedding or event for next year, I have availability and would love to chat about what I could do for you. Get in touch via my website, and let’s arrange a call to talk all things flowers! Link in my bio.

💘One last hurrah for the peonies! 💘

We’re at the very edge of the season now and these few are the ones that didn’t open for last weekend’s wedding. There’s always some, so this has to be planned for when ordering… staggering the arrival of the flowers in the days before so that each one is at the right stage for the designs and ordering a few extras to ensure there are the right amount for the occasion.

I’ve combined them here with a few snippets from the garden, including two of my favourite garden fillers: geranium and erigeron which you can scroll through to see in more detail. For me, that delicate dainty detail balances out the blowsy peonies. What do you think?

🤍 Hellebore Appreciation Society 🤍

If I was getting married at this time of year, I would most certainly want hellebores in my floral arrangements. They’re absolutely beautiful and lighting up gardens at the moment too.

As well as being a florist, I work as a gardener and I can’t tell you how much hellebores brighten a garden at this time of year. Beautiful jewels in the borders blooming through the cold and wet, loved by early bees and gardeners alike, and coming back year after year. A real favourite of mine.

The little things…

Buttonholes don’t have to be boring! For this gorgeous winter wedding, I used a selection of different textures and shapes to create delicate yet impactful buttonholes. I love making buttonholes. When I first started out they were something I feared, but now I love making them. Wiring each stem is a form of mindfulness and a moment to slow down during wedding flower prep. They’re like tiny little bouquets and I adore them!
