I had a superb evening on Thursday watching and with and Mark S at the spellbinding

I’ve never been there before and it was perfect for the acoustic vibe. Like a neighbourhood sessions x 10. The approach just makes the whole space permeate calm, reflection and joy. I could have listened for hours more.

And so, it seems, could everyone else calling Turin Brakes back for a last song breaking curfew and having the front of house turned off mid song. Didn’t really matter at an acoustic gig so 😜 and good to see rock and roll rebellion still exists.

Lovely as always to listen to singing with Tom and sooo looking forward to hearing her original material in a couple of weeks.

The fantastic Lydia Clowes will be opening for Lady Nade on 30th November.

Having worked for many years with other artists such as long time collaborators Tom Speight and Tommy Ashby, and more recently having had her voice sampled by Fred Again.. and Brian Eno; Lydia Clowes just recently launched her solo artist project with EP titled ‘My Blood’. With a follow up EP to come next year, Lydia’s warm and homely sounding soundtrack is influenced by the likes of The Staves and Lianne La Havas.

This will be a brilliant evening

I had a wonderful day at the Burnham Deepdale Music Festival today. I was absolutely thrilled to meet, chat with, and listen to the warm and generous Lady Nade (rhymes with lemonade!). Seeing her was my main reason for buying a ticket!

I first discovered this exceptionally talented singer-songwriter through her song ‘Ain't One Thing,’ which resonated deeply with me it perfectly encapsulates my love for my husband, Jim Graber-Slater.

Today, I learned about the inspiration behind the song, which gave it even more meaning and depth. When Lady Nade signed her CD for me, she quoted the lyrics, and I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, it was exactly the right phrase.

She has a big heart what a beautiful soul!

His singing and songwriting just draw you in and if you get a chance to see him play you should take it. Between the songs James brings humour and humility. Beginnings..

Neighbourhood Sessions began when Phil, a member of Neighbourhood Church Beckenham, decided to put on an evening of live music to showcase the music from his project, Farsight. The event was a success with the relaxed vibe of Farsight being a perfect match for the intimate and cosy Neighbourhood Church hall. Other artists such as Andy Flanagan and Keston Cobblers Club were invited to perform at further Neighbourhood Sessions. For one session, the regular sound guy wasn’t able to be there, so Simon (the leader of Neighbourhood Church) asked Steve to help. Lydia Cole headlined and was fantastic. When Stables performed a few months later Steve was asked to engineer again and jumped at the chance. The quality of the artists combined with the atmosphere of the venue combined to create a unique experience.

The ethos of Neighbourhood Sessions is to provide the local community with live music events that are a privilege to be at, where the space provides a refuge from the business of living in London and you leave uplifted by the experience, wondering why you haven’t heard of the artists before and telling your friends about them.
