So lovely and romantic……..
Sugar paste roses, stencilled floral effect and a draped silk ribbon created the effect….
It looked beautiful.

Valentine’s Day wedding..

This was a very special cake.
The bridegroom’s passion for ‘scuba diving’ on the wedding cake as a hidden back was a complete surprise to him and he loved it.
These are several of the official photos I have just received from Zoe the bride and I am so happy to see they chose to cut the cake with the ‘hidden back’ as the front!

Just scolling through and came across a photo of one of my first wedding cakes 4 years ago. It’s been lots of practice/ tutorials/ etc. since then but looking at the wedding cakes I made this year it all seems so worthwhile. Lots of time spent in my ‘cake’ room making sugar paste flowers which is so satisfying and therapeutic especially listening to music/ podcasts and audio books. I count myself very lucky.I am so looking forward to 2024.😊🌸

Congratulations to Zoe and Matt who were married this weekend. They chose a fabulous venue for their wedding.
This is Leez Priory near Chelmsford and it just took my breath away.
The cake had a ‘hidden back’ feature as Matt is a scuba diver enthusiast.
The sun was shining as we delivered and set up the cake.
Everything looked beautiful.

Today I received this lovely message from the bride.

Hello, I honestly
LOVED the cake so so so much! Thank you so much! Its literally the best wedding cake I've ever seen, and everyone commented how delicious it was!
Matt loved the Scuba surprise, thank you!

Such a beautiful venue for last Saturday’s wedding.The weather was lovely and the decorations in the old barn were exquisite. The choice of white as the colour theme was perfect.
The bottom tier was raspberry and the other tiers lemon. The cake was covered in pale ivory fondant icing with white sugar flowers, anenomes, sweet peas and white leaves all with a subtle light silver lustre to catch the light.The old barn looked quite spectacular but also very welcoming……

Congratulations to Hayley and Oliver who were married last Friday. I loved making your cakes for you. Your colour choice for buttercream icing for your ‘ wildflower’ theme was perfect. Lovely fresh flowers and pretty little cupcake toppers which were so beautiful. The flavours: Lemon for your large cake and Cherry Bakewell and Raspberry for your cupcakes so delicious for a summer wedding…

Such a lovely wedding for Janice and Tony.
Their cake was decorated in a vintage style with pearl ribbon around each tier. The sugar paste flowers matched the bouquet perfectly.
I was fortunate to be a guest as well as making their cake.
They chose chocolate, lemon and raspberry as flavours.
Janice sent me a lovely message…..

It was a really special cake. I received lots of great comments and all of the cake was quickly eaten! Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Last Thursday I said goodbye to this seaside themed wedding cake as it was collected to travel to Ilfracombe for Saturday’s wedding!
I was rather nervous but my lovely customers listened so carefully to all my advice that it arrived safely.
They messaged me on their arrival…

‘Cake has arrived in one piece! ‘🎉

Their later message….

‘Thank you for the cake the girls said it was perfect and everyone commented on how amazing it both looked and tasted.’

It was a chocolate cake as the bottom tier and the top two tiers were raspberry.
Not my usual style of wedding cake but I really enjoyed making it. The handmade seashells and a little demerera sugar as sand brought it to life. I marbled the fondant icing to create a sea water effect.

One of my favourite styles of wedding cakes for Janice and Tony’s wedding last Saturday.
The weather was perfect and the venue beautifully decorated.
The cakes were raspberry,lemon and chocolate.
I was a guest and was able to taste the cakes I had made…..(I was a bit nervous!!)
However everyone seemed to enjoy them and there were lots of compliments🌸

I love to meet my bride and bridegroom to be and have a chat about their wedding cake. This week I met a lovely couple to discuss their wishes and ideas. They took one of my taster boxes away with them to sample, I wonder what their choice will be? I have seven flavours to choose from so it may be tricky!!
