Happy Valentines Day ♥️

To all of our absolutely wonderful couples past and to come, but especially our 2024 couples who are celebrating their first Valentines Day as a married couple 🫶🏻

We are so privileged to witness and participate in so much love here at The Lakeside, and with just 3 months until our 2025 season commences we’re so excited to celebrate their forthcoming unions of more amazing couples.

If you’ve said ‘yes’ today then huge congratulations! If you’re looking for a stunning outdoor backdrop to create your own personal and unique celebration, but without the hassle & extra organisation required at a dry hire venue, the good news is that our 2026 diary is open and we have capacity for numerous dates between May and September next year.

Our inclusive package provides everything you’d expect at a ‘classic’ wedding venue, but without any restrictions on the style and aesthetic of your big day. Choose your structure, styling, flowers and entertainment, and we do the rest!

Cake Style ~

This absolute stunner of a cake from C&H’s 2024 wedding was a real show stopper. Not only was the cake beautiful and delicious, but the accompanying styling from our preferred supplier showcased it at its best.

We love it when couples make the cake a centrepiece - if you’re wedding planning you’ll know a good cake is an investment, so they deserve to be shown off and stand proud.

These white plinths worked perfectly for C&H’s black and white themed yurt wedding, but would suit multiple styles and colour themes. If you’re going for a more natural or rustic look whisky barrels are a popular choice, and for a more romantic or vintage look French style side tables or dressers work beautifully too.

Why not take the opportunity to make your cake table a little wow factor focal point in your marquee? We can’t wait to see what this year’s couples create!

✨ 2025 ~ Let the Wedding Magic Begin! ✨

January’s arrival means one thing: wedding season is on the horizon! We’re just 18 weeks away from kicking off the site build for our first 2025 wedding, and whilst that sounds some time away we know it will fly around.

Our wonderful 2025 couples all began their journey with us back in 2022 or 2023, so are now finally on the cusp of their most anticipated day, and we’re so excited to see their plans finally come together!

The coming months are all about finalising the details: site layouts, crafting perfect seating plans, finalising timings and indulging in mouthwatering food tastings. It’s a whirlwind of anticipation as we bring these dream weddings to life 🤍

But 2025 isn’t all we’re celebrating - we’re busy answering lots of enquiries and securing bookings for 2026. As an exclusive boutique venue, we open the farm gates for a limited amount of weddings per year, and we only have 5 2026 spots remaining.

Let them eat…pork pie! 🥧

Everything about L&C’s wedding was uniquely them - they didn’t want a cookie cutter big day and we loved indulging in that with them.

What better way to set the tone for a fabulous, fun and laid back day than cutting the pork pie ‘wedding cake’ on arrival at the reception, then having us slice and serve it alongside ‘TGIF’ themed canapés of truffle crisps, duck pancakes, quail scotch eggs and halloumi fries 👌🏻

This wedding was a day of full on feasting, with a pie & mash wedding breakfast then an evening hog roast. We can guarantee nobody went hungry!

“The Lakeside got our vision completely and made the day so special to us!”

L&C celebrated their big day at the end of May and we cannot tell you how much FUN this wedding was. From our first show round, to food tasting and the day itself there was always excitement, unique ideas and lots of laughter.

This wedding incorporated our full in-house offering, with catering and drinks from , use of our accommodation there, and our inclusive planning support and coordination from Hannah .

“Where do we start in reviewing our experience with The Lakeside team ... We were set on a wedding that felt super personal and wasn’t a ‘conveyor belt’ wedding. The Lakeside got our vision completely and made the day so special to us!

Hannah was sensational from start to finish. She met with us regularly guiding us through the process, coordinated with all the suppliers to ensure all went to plan, had a sewing kit to hand when my wedding dress broke and even dropped us back at our hotel at the end of the night!

The day was stress free and seamless for us and managing 150 guest food orders and bar service is no mean feat!

We used the food at The Sun and were not let down! They provided us with a completely bespoke menu at a really reasonable price. All the guests commented on how amazing the food was - meat filled pies and plenty of canapes. No one went hungry!

All in all - a wedding that all enjoyed. Especially us. Thank you!”

Meet The Duke ~

This year all but one of our structures was supplied by our friends , including this 3-pole beauty ‘The Duke’.

We love the natural canvas and wooden poles of these marquees, they complement our outdoor setting perfectly and provide an elegant and romantic aesthetic that can be transformed to suit your wedding vision.

This beauty can comfortably accommodate dining for 150 with sufficient space for a bar and dancefloor, so it’s the perfect choice for bigger weddings. If you like the look but don’t need as much space then the good news is that it also comes in a two pole version which is ideally suited for between 80-120.

Springtime Sunshine ~

Back on the 4th May we kicked off our 2024 season with the gorgeous C&H. May is such a fantastic month for a wedding here at the farm, everything is green, lush and fresh, but of course we’re always paying close attention to the weather forecast - especially when our couples have their heart set on an alfresco ceremony.

Despite a rather wet setup day beforehand, the sun shone in abundance all day on the big day ☀️ Their wedding started with a lakefront ceremony officiated by bride’s brother, followed by an outdoor drinks reception in the glorious spring sunshine. We served a delicious 3-course wedding breakfast inside one of 3 stunningly styled yurts, and delighted guests with a free-flowing cocktail hour as the sun started to set 🍸

The evening was full of fun, laughter, dancing, pizza (and a lot of dipping!) and we enjoyed every moment of hosting this incredible big day, seeing our lovely couple and their fantastic friends & family enjoying celebrating their union in style. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season!

Sunset Tones ~

We love seeing how each of our couples choose to design their special day, enhancing our natural blank canvas space with their own creativity. Our 2024 weddings delivered a kaleidoscope of structures, styles and themes, but orange and pinks definitely ruled the roost when it came to colour schemes, and we adored these sunset hues 🧡🩷

We were feeling all the Mediterranean style vibes for B&D’s picture-perfect tablescape, with olive trees and herbs in terracotta pots, sage muslin runners and pink glass charger plates topped with matching knotted napkins. The Groom designed all of their on the day stationery himself, introducing another playful pop of orange with their table numbers and menus.

This design was a great example of how you can elevate natural and rustic components like bare wooden tables and potted plants, to create an elegant statement tablescape.

C&H were our first wedding of the year, and we were all excited to kick off our season with a statement wedding for such a fantastic couple. This wedding incorporated our full in-house offering, with catering and drinks from , plus use of our stunning accommodation there, alongside our inclusive planning support and coordination from Hannah .

“We couldn’t recommend Wildberry Farm and their team highly enough! We got married in May, and Hannah and the team were simply amazing.

From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive and patient, always taking the time to understand our ideas and vision and translate it into something beautiful.

Pete and the team at The Sun went above and beyond, working with our ideas to create the most amazing menu. Where possible Pete used seasonal, local ingredients including asparagus from the neighbouring field!! Pete also did a fantastic job behind the bar, whipping up the most delicious cocktails which our guests LOVED.

On the day itself, the coordination was flawless. Everyone worked together to make sure everything went off without a hitch, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our special day. Hannah is an absolute boss and had everything sorted perfectly. We can’t thank you enough.

We were fortunate enough to stay in the suite at the Sun which was absolutely beautiful. If you can, book it - it’s incredible and (again) the team are just fantastic and couldn’t have done more for us.

Summer Season ~ Its been a whirlwind of amazing weddings and events so far this summer 2024 season. We’ve been fortunate to have hosted such beautiful big days and work with some incredible suppliers. The weather has also been on our side for all of our alfresco ceremonies ☀️

We’re well over half way through our wedding season this year and can’t wait for our remaining weddings coming up in August 🤍 We’re also excited to meet up with lots of our 2025 couples over the coming weeks to catch up on their exciting plans.

As a reminder, we are fully booked for 2025 but our diary is open for 2026 enquiries. August will be the final opportunity to see The Lakeside setup this year so if you want come out and see our venue with gorgeous structures in situ make sure you firm up your visit - just pop us an email or a DM!

Happy Anniversary 🤍

To the gorgeous A&J 🥂 The 1st July last year was such a beautiful day for this wonderful couple and their family & friends. We’re still not over this breathtaking Vera Wang gown, albeit our core memories of working with A&J are how warm, fun and lovely they were. It was such a proven to bar part of their special day.
