FEATURED BAND : The Last Chance Ragtime Band - Lindy Hop Jazz
Appearing at Twinwood for the first time on Sunday 24th August

The Last Chance Ragtime Band is a group dedicated to putting jazz on the dance floor. Taking their inspiration from the New Orleans Jazz Bands of Frenchman Street, LCRB plays music especially crafted for swing dancers from greats such as Jelly Roll Morton, Ella, Benny Goodman, Louis Prima, Louis Armstrong and Hoagy Carmichael. We cater for Lindy Hop, Blues, Balboa and S**g dancers. Stephen Pagano (Piano/Vocals) is also a Lindy Hop and Balboa dancer/instructor.

The band have played ...Bletchley Park, Cambridge Lindy Hoppers (inc. CLX), Oxford Lindy Hoppers (inc. Oxford Swing Festival and OLX), Twinwoods Festival (Tin Hat), JiveSwing.com (inc. Hello, we thought you may like to know that we now have a very limited number of Campsite "SUPER" Pitch With Private Toilet Pod and Electric Hook-Up available .

This is our SUPER camping pitch that gives you SIX night's stay, and we provide you with your own private toilet pod on the pitch. It is a superb flat pitch, with electric hook-up, close to the Main Arena entrance, and we give you entrance on the Wednesday, so that you can beat the queue. Shared amenities on the campsite include showers. water points, chemical disposal points, and rubbish collection areas.

IMPORTANT - For this campsite pass to be valid, you must have also purchased at least TWO adult 3-day festival tickets.

Camping vehicles must not exceed 30 feet, and must weigh less than 5 tons.

If you are camping on Twinwood's campsites, you will have access to Friday's entertainment automatically, and you do not need to buy a Friday ticket separately.

The festival entertainment has bonuses for campers - not only does our Main Arena decking bar open on the Thursday evening (August 21st) with a live band, but campers also get an exclusive additional festival day on Friday with a great Main Arena line-up,plus DJs in several indoor venues late into the night!

Our special "Super" camping pitches are high in demand and close to selling out - these pitches include electric hook-up points, plus two other great perks exclusive to Super pitches only:

Kyle Evans Brings George Formby's Legacy to Life at Twinwood Festival 2025

Twinwood Festival is delighted to announce that acclaimed entertainer Kyle Evans will perform as George Formby on Sunday at the Liberty Stage at the 2025 festival. Renowned for his authentic portrayal, Evans captures the essence of Formby, one of Britain's most beloved entertainers.

George Formby, a Wigan-born comedian, singer, and actor, rose to fame in the 1930s and 1940s with his infectious humor and ukulele performances. BAND SPOTLIGHT : JACKSON SLOAN & THE RHYTHMTONES

Apearing on Friday 22nd August 2025

Jackson Sloan has built up a reputation as an exceptionally talented frontman. He has performed at many prestigious Rhythm & Blues and Rockin' festivals, clubs and dance events across the Globe and has written and recorded many songs that have become favourites on the 'Vintage' music scene.

Jackson’s love of the music evolved from his parents record collection which led to Jackson attending live gigs both in his own home town of Southend-on-Sea, all over Essex, London and Europe. In 2023, Jackson released "Take Me Back In Time" on Shellac Records, further showcasing his commitment to authentic vintage sounds. Jackson's dedication to preserving and promoting vintage music led to the formation of 'Jackson Sloan and the Rhythmtones', a seven-piece outfit that has performed at numerous prestigious festivals worldwide.

The band have previously performed at the Twinwood Festival. Notably, they took the stage in 2018, delivering a memorable performance on the Control Tower stage.

Renowned as "The Godfather of Swing," Ray Gelato is set to captivate audiences at the Twinwood Festival, taking place from August 22 to 25, 2025, at the historic Twinwood Arena in Bedfordshire.

With a career spanning over three decades, Gelato has enthralled global audiences with his unique blend of swing, jazz, and R&B. His dynamic performances have graced prestigious venues worldwide, including London's Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, New York's Birdland, and the Blue Note in Milan. Notably, Gelato has performed for the late Queen Elizabeth II, opened for Robbie Williams at the Royal Albert Hall, and was selected to play at Sir Paul McCartney's wedding.

Dear all...

Monday is never blue here at Twinwood.

We've got a very big name in the world of Swing and Jazz to announce today, with the return of The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, who last played at Twinwood in 2016, almost a decade ago and we are very lucky to welcome back Jake Vaadeland & The Sturgeon River Boys who were one of the highlights on the Moonshine Glade stage last year.

The multi-award-winning Jake Vaadeland wowed us last year in Moonshine Glade, so much so that he returns for a Main Arena performance this year!

All the way from Saskatchewan in Canada, Jake Vaadeland is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with a traditional sound and unique style that could be defined as a blend of Bluegrass and 50’s Rockabilly. In addition to his impressive vocals, Jake also specialises on guitar and banjo, and along with his band The Sturgeon River Boys, this all amounts to foot stomping, high energy performances.

Led by the stylish, flamboyant Natty Congeroo - the band’s repertoire comprises tight original numbers, and a selection of explosive interpretations of classic Hot Jazz, Swing and Rhythm ’n’ Blues songs from the 1930s & 40s. We hope you've all had a great Christmas and New Year, and are starting to look forward to another spectacular Twinwood this Summer! With that in mind, we thought we'd kick off 2025 with a couple of band announcements that we know you'll love to hear...

The New Amen Corner.

The New Amen Corner returns to Twinwood in 2025, celebrating the music of the 1960s with an unforgettable show on the Main Arena, on the Friday night of the festival. This fantastic band is led by Glen Leon, a frontman renowned for his incredible vocal range. The band has gained the respect of 60s music lovers everywhere, and has starred alongside some of the biggest artists from the era. These include Chris Farlowe, Cliff Bennett, Dave Berry, Mike d’Abo, Mike Pender, P.P. Arnold, Steve Ellis, Tony Crane and Wayne Fontana and many more!

Last year, Tom Carradine's much-loved Cockney Sing-a-long returned to Twinwood after a long hiatus, and returned in style with the backing of a brand-new full band. We are delighted to welcome Tom and his band back again this year, again to round out the festival on the Monday night in the Century Club, for another late party of pure nostalgia and unadulterated fun.

Tom Carradine & His China Plates will transport you back in time with traditional Music Hall favourites, as well as a few cheeky vintage re-imaginings of newer anthems.

Born out of the impromptu late night sing-a-longs around the battered old piano in our Nag's Head bar at Twinwood, Carradine's Cockney Sing-a-long has since become an international sensation, entertaining crowds across Europe and the UK with a good old-fashioned knees-up.
