Bedlington Community Centre

Bedlington Community Centre A fabulous building in the heart of Bedlington available for community activities, classes, functions, meetings and more!

Bedlington Community Centre occupies a prime position right in the middle of the town's main street. It is well served by local bus services and close to ample free parking facilities. Rescued from disuse in 2011 and now extensively updated, the centre is run solely by volunteers and has a wide range of facilities ideal for live music, dance and theatre events, family celebrations, classes, meetin

gs or conferences. We have various rooms available for private hire for meetings, buffets, birthday parties, weddings etc and a 12 station IT Suite. We're a voluntary organisation and we rely heavily on the hard work and dedication of our small group of volunteers. Experience is rarely needed, just enthusiasm and a good sense of humour. If you have a little time to spare and you would like to join us, please give us a ring for an informal chat.

PSYCHIC NIGHT CANCELLED:
Due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding the coronavirus, Wednesday, March 18th psychic event has been cancelled. This has is due to public safety, as on occasion the room has had 100-150 plus people and we want to minimalise the risk of spreading, not just to one another but also the elderly and those at risk

As you will be aware the government has asked, elderly people over 70, those living in care homes or sheltered accommodation etc have been asked to self isolate even if they are not infected to minimalise their risk and also so that others in the facility do not catch the virus. In addition, those with ailments such as cancer, diabetes, respiratory problems etc are also a high risk; Dorothy who organises the event, is 85 years old and not only lives in sheltered accommodation but she also is diabetic. So she has no option but to cancel until further notice.

As soon as it is safe to do so, the events will be back on.
The last event was forCambois first school children's food bank £200 was raised, Dorothy was hoping to raise another £50 to donate to the school fro this weeks event, sadly as it's cancelled she will donate the £200, which is a wonderful amount!

In the meantime please stay safe and look out for one another. These are trying times when people need to come together to help their families and neighbours.

Thank you
