2 Royal Avenue

2 Royal Avenue We are hosting a range events at our new venue, 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast. A key feature is the beautiful, circular dome over an octagonal arcade.

Stay tuned for a variety of exciting events, everything from music and art to workshops and markets! 2 Royal Avenue was designed by prolific Irish architect WJ Barre between 1864 and 1869 (best known works include the Albert Memorial Clock and Ulster Hall). Originally the Gothic Revival style building was the head office of the Provincial Bank of Ireland. When Barre died following a short by illne

ss in 1867 at the age of 37, architecture firm Turner and Williamson completed the building. The impressive seven-bay façade is missing an elaborate sculpture that was intended for the pediment. It is supported by corbelled columns that lead up to a Gothic gallery. In the 1990s, the building was converted into a Tesco Metro store, with architects from the firm WDR and RT Taggart restoring the building.

We are very honoured to have been chosen to lead musical theatre workshops today at the Lord Mayors day. It was great to see so many little faces join us. And then our main academy took to the stage to perform. These children make us so proud. What a performance by everyone.

Thank you Belfast city council. We were honoured.
