SIMPLICITY, SUNSHINE & SICILIAN LEMONS
It might look easy to achieve this result but, oh goodness, you have no idea! The time, experience and patience involved in setting up this beautiful tableau was an absolutely fascinating treat to watch, particularly when some of the flower stems didn't want to do what they were supposed to in the slight breeze!

🌿 I am delighted to have been invited to take part in a research project in partnership with Bangor University, Wales and Dru UK.

The aim of the project is to explore yoga as a tool for improving health and wellbeing.

📚 Would you like to participate in the YWP Programme?

The YWP programme offers gentle, accessible yoga-based sessions designed to support your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

You don’t need any previous yoga experience, and all sessions are welcoming, friendly, and suitable for beginners.

Each session may include:
• Gentle movement and stretching
• Breathing techniques
• Guided relaxation
• Mindfulness-based practices

• Location: Annadale Community Centre, 49 Delhi Parade, Belfast
• Dates: Tuesday 2nd – 30th September
• Time: 6.15 p.m.
• Duration: 5 weeks (1 class per week)

This programme is offered on a donation basis to make it accessible for everyone.
• Suggested donation: £5 per class, or £25 for the full 5-week programme.
• Your contribution helps cover venue hire and running costs.
• No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

🧪 Research Involvement
As part of the programme, you will be invited to take part in the research study by completing:
• A short questionnaire before and after the programme.
• A consent form for baseline and follow up questionnaire.
• A brief wellbeing check-in before the start of the programme.
Your participation in the research is completely voluntary, and all data will be anonymised.

CLOUDS, SILVER LININGS and PIGS!
It was a really sad day when this prolific little apple tree (a favourite of mine and always a-flutter with birds) just keeled over, almost silently, about a week ago.
Not a breath of wind that day but, at about 150 years old, riddled with honey fungus and the weight of apples, leaves and torrential rain, it had obviously just had enough. It's much missed and has changed the look of the garden, but it always produced a fantastic crop of delicious eaters - no idea of the variety, though.
Despite all this, as you can see, the happy pigs at appreciated the buckets of apples we collected.

FABULOUS AT 40! A beautiful set-up for a recent surprise 40th birthday party in the walled garden. Gazebos for shade, rather than shelter from the forecast rain, which didn't happen. Gorgeous grazing cups with pre-lunch drinks and a fab BBQ, provided by Krystal at .co
So much thought had gone into planning all the little details, which made it a very special day. Happy birthday, Laura!

🥁 TWO WEEKS TO GO 🥁

Under the Drum festival is set in the Antrim Hills just 30 mins from Belfast. We are a small, grass roots festival with no big bells and whistles but instead a focus on local community, the best music, arts, food and suppliers from the island of Ireland.

Just two weeks to go!

ARMED WITH BUCKETS AND SPADES, the Dream Team from made fantastic progress with this project on their recent visit. They're helping to regenerate one of the storm-damaged areas of the garden and, hopefully, next year we'll plant lots of acid-soil-loving shrubs. Thank you all for another brilliant morning's efforts and there'll be more scones, cream and home-made jam again next time!
