And what a weekend....Belfast has Pride, the Sailortown Festival, The Eastside Arts Festival, Tradfest....We've even got Spain playing France in the UEFA U19 Euro finals at the National Stadium

European football continues this week as fonaCAB sponsored Cliftonville Football Club take in Auda on Wednesday in the first leg of the second round of the Europa Conference League at Solitude - kick-off 7.45pm. New temporary bus lanes will come into operation in Belfast from Monday 1 July. the DfI have introduced these because of the works on surrounding roads as part of the construction of the new transport hub.

With any change, there's always the chance of increased traffic and congestion, and this may have an effect on taxi journey times and routes, so please take this into account when booking

Good luck to fonaCAB sponsored Cliftonville Football Club and Crusaders FC who both have huge games this weekend. Cliftonville take on Linfield on Saturday in the final of the Clearwater Irish Cup and Crusaders play Coleraine on Monday in the playoff for this seasons final European place

We know we don't always get it right - unfortunately there are so many factors from traffic and roadworks to the weather that can affect journeys, that its impossible to deliver up to 100,000 bookings a week and get every single one perfect (although we do try). If we do get it wrong you should tell us - We have a fantastic Customer Services Team who investigate and respond to any queries you send us.

Its also great to hear from customers when drivers or staff members exceed your expectations, and this is a great example of that - thank you for your kind words, and we're delighted we were able to get you home safe and sound

Over an average week we can get as many as two hundred lost property enquiries...over a bank holiday maybe even more - its why we have a great Customer Services Team and why you need to complete a lost property form so we can keep track of every enquiry

Sometimes if the taxi hasn't been booked its difficult to track an item, other times the item may well have fallen on the ground as you got in or out of the vehicle - there can even be times when the passenger following you has taken your item home with them, perhaps mistakenly believing it to be theirs, but we always check and do our best to reunite you with the item you lost

Its not always an easy task, and we appreciate it can be stressful if you've lost something important. That makes it all the nicer when we receive messages like this

Please be careful with your items when in any taxi and make sure you check and take everything with you when your journey is complete

Judging by the increase in traffic on the roads this morning its the first day back after the holidays for many - we hope you had a great break and getting out of bed this morning wasn't too bad

Plans changed?

If your plans change, no problem, please just let us know as soon as possible. Late cancellations and “No shows” cost drivers time and money in fuel, and most importantly mean that their taxi isn’t available for another customer which could be you. Cancelling when your taxi is on its way to you, or even worse when its outside doesn’t help anyone and we discourage it
