More than 25 years later and employing over 1200 people, it is now one of Ireland’s largest indigenous support service organisations, providing

a range of services including catering, vending and cleaning.

“The company has grown organically over time by working in partnership with our clients.” comments Trevor. “It was a natural progression for us to extend our services in line with their changing needs- passing on the cost saving and productivity benefits of working with one single supply partner. As a local company, we have an innate knowledge and understanding of our clients’ organisations and what is important to them that the big international branded companies cannot so easily offer. For example, 85% of our fresh produce is sourced from growers and producers in Northern Ireland so, when we say we use local produce, you know exactly what that means! The Mount Charles group now supports some of the most prestigious organisations in Northern Ireland and has clients from across the business & industry, healthcare, education and retail sectors. It is our intention to go on growing as they grow, extending our range of services and the reach of our market place to ensure we continue to provide innovative and cost effective solutions to meet and exceed their needs. We are delighted to announce that this month's SHINE award winner in ROI is Angela Doody!

Angela is a cleaning operative at National Stud and was nominated by Regional Operations Manager, Jessica Irani. Commenting about the reason behind this nomination, Jessica said "Angela has a phenomenal work ethic. She has a wonderful rapport with clients, staff and customers and I feel that she truly is an unsung hero of Mount Charles!"

✨TASTE AWARD WINNERS✨

We are delighted to announce this month's ROI TASTE award goes to not just one but two worthy winners, based out of our newly rebranded Irish Blood Transfusion Service site!

Our dynamic duo, Graham Hicks and Jacinta Quinn were put forward for the award by Labhaoise Sherlock, who had this to say:

"Graham is a very hard worker, and an organised and friendly person who always goes the extra mile. Jacinta has worked in IBTS for over and she has great customer service and time management skills. Although all these are great attributes, it's their dedication to the site and their willingness to always do more that sets them apart. I watch them on site and they know everyone’s name, everyone’s regular meals and what’s going on in their lives. It’s just old school service."

⭐We are delighted to announce that this month’s TASTE Award winner is Katie Chessell, Food Service Assistant at the Causeway Business Lounge, Belfast International Airport!⭐

Megan Armstrong, BIA Area Manager, who nominated Katie for this award, said “When we have people travelling through the lounge and go out of their way to reach out to see if we had a recognition policy for staff you know the guys are doing great. One of our travellers mentioned Katie by name and said she was doing an excellent job in extremely busy conditions. She was checking in customers, clearing tables, and restocking the food and fridges, The customer was very impressed and wanted to make sure it was recognised in some capacity. The fact that he has went out of his way to contact us just shows what a credit she is.”

Alison was nominated by Louise Andrews, Area Manager, who had this to say about her staff member “Over the busy holiday period Alison has massively help me out covering not only her own site but helping with other HSC Sites in the Belfast area. This was a massive help. Alison’s communication skills are very strong, and she deals with any problem head on. She is a credit to the company.”
