It’s officially cold season and we’re reminiscing on our weddings this year. This was Bethan and Sam’s wedding back in July, such a lovely couple to work with and an amazing mix of season flowers!

Whilst we’re a bit quieter this month, we’re doing a whole bunch of admin, preparing for Christmas and trying to keep warm.

Lonely this Christmas? Right at Home to host Christmas lunch...

Vicky and Paul Butler, owners of Right at Home in Bembridge, know how difficult it can be for those who will be on their own at Christmas, so they are going to do something about it!

They have been collaborating with local businesses to see if it would be possible to hold a lunch, free of charge on Christmas Day for anyone who will be on their own at Christmas.

They have been overwhelmed with support from the businesses they have contacted so far.

We all know that Bembridge is an amazing community which has been highlighted again by the level of support offered by local businesses and others who have donated generously to the idea of the lunch as listed below:

• Frampton's Bar – donating their kitchen and their fabulous chef, J***y is giving up his Christmas Day to prepare the delicious meal.
• The Farm Shop & No. 8 Café – Jane is donating food for the event and volunteering on the day along with her family.
• Captain Stan's Bembridge Fishstore – donation of food.
• Hotbox Bakery Bembridge – donation of some delicious mince pies and bread.
• Co-op Welcome Bembridge – donation of food.
• Sherborne Street Co-op – donation of food.
• Bembridge Flower Shop – donation of plants / decorations for the tables.
• Right at Home – donating any missing supplies along with volunteering to arrange the event. Vicky, Paul and his mum will also be volunteering on the run up and on the day.
• Bembridge Friendship Circle – provision of the mini-bus for the day.
• Bembridge Village Hall – provision of the venue for the day.
• Bembridge Parish Council - donation of £250

The lunch will take place on Christmas Day at Bembridge Village Hall, starting at 12:30pm. This is a free meal which will have all the trimmings, festive decorations, a free raffle and most importantly, a warm welcoming atmosphere.

This is for anyone who would otherwise be on their own (regardless of age).
Spaces will be limited so please call Vicky, (218318) at Right at Home to reserve your place and let them know about mobility and dietary requirements or if you know someone who might be on the on their own, pass on the news so they can get in touch should they wish to join the party..

The venue and mini bus are wheelchair accessible.

If anyone would like to support with this event either by way of donations or volunteering time on Christmas Day, please do call Vicky to discuss.

We’ve been a bit quiet this weekend.. but all for a good reason.

My beautiful sister Lucy got married on Saturday to the most amazing man, James.

We shed a lot of tears (Happy of course!) and here’s just a little snippet of what we’ve been busy working on over the course of the past few days. More pictures to come! (I’d be lying if I wasn’t still shedding tears looking back on these).

📣 Announcement 📣

We know the road closure along Kings Road will be affecting those of you who are coming in Bembridge from Seaview or St Helens, but we just want to let you know, we are open for Business as normal. As well as many other businesses on the High Street.

For the following 3 weeks, whilst the road is closed, we have removed our delivery charges for St Helens and Seaview.

We know it’ll be hard to get to us, so we can come to you!

Hopefully, after a few days people will venture into our little village, it certainly has been exceedingly quiet today!

Unfortunately I have come down with a stomach bug so out shop will be open 9am - 12pm today to make sure the deliveries have gone out.
