To all of my lovely customers...
Some of you may of noticed I been very quiet on social media this year, and if you have been in touch you will of received an out of office response telling you that we are taking a break and not taking orders at this time. It has taken me a long time to write this post, partly because this has been a hard decision to make and is rather bittersweet.
I started Berkhamsted Balloons around 13 years ago, a business which needed to fit around our young family, and to start with it did. As our family grew, so did the business and my love for the job, but over time with the demands of the business along with changes within the industry and challenges (a flooded market, undercutting, big business buying power, increased trading costs etc) and of course the unsociable hours, it became obvious it no longer fitted as well as it used to, and I needed to make some changes. So around 18 months ago I started winding down the business and making the first steps in retraining and changing my career.
I have had the absolute pleasure to work with some amazing people over the years, working alongside other balloon artists, working with small independent businesses, to large companies, working on charity events, supplying small and big orders to clients many of whom have become loyal customers.
I really appreciate each and every one of you who have supported us, thank you for your business over the years and helping to make Berkhamsted Balloons the success it was.
