Long drive down to stunning Frinton-on-sea this morning to pick up Mr & Mrs John Leyton and bring them to St Albans for Talking pictures.

Today Marks 25 years ago I was given my Green Badge when I passed the Knowledge of London and still amazed that I did it.
Three hundred and twenty standard routes through central London, or "runs", are defined in the Guide to Learning the Knowledge of London, which is produced by the Public Carriage Office. In all, some 25,000 streets within a six-mile radius of Charing Cross are covered, along with the major arterial routes through the rest of London.
A taxicab-driver must learn these routes, as well as the "points of interest" along and within 1⁄2 mile (0.80 km) of each end of those routes including streets, squares, clubs, hospitals, hotels, theatres, embassies, government and public buildings, railway stations, police stations, courts, diplomatic buildings, important places of worship, cemeteries, crematoria, parks and open spaces, sports and leisure centres, places of learning, restaurants and historic buildings.
The Knowledge includes details such as the order of theatres on Shaftesbury Avenue, and the names and order of the side streets and traffic signals passed on a route.

Finally I had the pleasure of meeting Doug, a 98year old Normandy veteran and brought him back home to Tring.
Pictured below are my 2 Grandfathers, Nigel, who was a Grenadier Guard and Jerry, who was an able seaman, both much loved and missed.
I am Very Happy to be taking part in this years 🌺 🌺 on Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph in London.
Myself and many other London taxi drivers will be Transporting Veteran servicemen and servicewomen to and from the memorial service which will be held on Sunday 12th November @11.00am.
Once finished I’d be coming home to Berkhamsted so if anyone who lives in the Berkhamsted area is taking part in the memorial in London would like a lift home please contact me, this would be free of charge.

Amazing Wedding Yesterday,I met Chris the Groom 4 years ago when we both Trekked across the Sahara desert for The hospice of Saint Francis and was inspired as was everyone by him.
Michelle and Chris having both lost loved ones,found each other and definitely found Love again.
Both grew up and schooled in the Chelsea and Fulham areas so tied the knot in The old Chelsea Church overlooking the River Thames.
