So excited to use up the left over underlay from the old house along with all the scraps of wool from the many many projects over the last 20 ish years… to make a runner for the hallway! Now I need to percolate the many many ideas before getting messy with it! 😄🤔🧐💭💡😝

All very strange!! Still not really sinking in! What a day sorting and clearing… family together with the amazing help of all the charities turning up when they said they would to collect the left over stock and the extra help from Naomi, Fiona Kent, Ben, Sam, Denise Purdy and Siobhan! We couldn’t have done it without you all! Seriously!! Xx

So lovely to see so many amazing people who made BAC what is was through the years!! Everyone in this picture worked at BAC at some point in the 44 years and they were all fun to work with! Thank you so much for taking the time to pop over as we closed our doors for the last time!

Berkhamsted Arts and Crafts is closing this Saturday at 5pm, however you could help to keep other amazing local art and craft shops to survive and even better, thrive!!
Blue Haze in Chesham are a mini version of BAC, Hazel has an amazing way of stocking a huge variety of items in her lovely shop (that is a little tight on space) and if she doesn’t have what you need you may well find it (just a few steps away) in JPS where Ray has a very beautifully arranged and well stocked shop of stationery and more!
If you are missing our pink haberdashery aisle then Needlecraft in Hemel (this side of the magic roundabout) is your best place to match colours and be surrounded by gorgeous fabrics and more.
Another local favourite that we were often recommending to our customers is Almars in Tring, another amazing Aladdin’s cave of art and craft. Carolyn really knows how to make the most of her space with stacks of paper, paint, brushes and more. if you are in Tring and need yarn just cross the road and you will find another treasure trove called Graces a lovely traditional hardware store and more!!
So, yes it is super sad that it was no longer viable for us to trade on your high street, but please please use these amazing family run independent shops and keep them, and your creativity alive!!

Productive night last night, Laz and dad dismantled the last stand that he (dad) made 19 years ago! Seren decided it was time for a ball rest … I think she’s got used to the new normal! Although only 3 days of shop remaining!! 😢 Then who knows what our normal will be. Seren will be hoping for more garden and ball throwing 🤣
