INCREDIBLE- Stilt man Andrew Healey.
THE organisers of the popular 'Fun on the Brum' event made a very exciting announcement after it returned for the first time in five years. Hundreds gathered to the fun day in Fernhill Heath on Saturday, July 20, braving some mixed weather to enjoy a magnificent community gathering.

And following the success of this year's return event, North Claines Parish Council chair Meg Farmer told the Worcester News organisers had just decided to bring the event back next year. She said: "We had originally thought we would just bring it back this year but it has been so amazing, so some of the Parish Councillors decided as the event was going on that we would continue it into next year- how could we say no.

"The last one was five years ago and we knew the weather wasn't going to be great so we didn't know how many would show up, but the community has come out in full force."This has been one of the best Fun on the Brum events ever, I can't believe it's gone as well as it has."People were treated to a selection of modern and classical music from the West Mercia Police band.

There were also a host of stalls selling everything from candy floss to cakes and burgers, and despite showers of rain later on, even an ice cream van showed up. Youngsters were able to see Andrew Healey the stilt walker, who gave out plenty of balloon animals.

Parents, meanwhile, tried to get their hands on a selection of over 250 bottles at the tombola.

Andy Davies was showcasing his Series 2 runabout Lykamobile. And there was plenty of other entertainment from an old fashioned roundabout to a rodeo bull and smack the rat. All the proceeds from the afternoon will be going to Nightstop, which provides emergency accommodation to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.Ellie Westley from the charity said the Fun on the Brum had been the friendliest event she had ever been too.https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/24465759.fun-brum-returns-huge-success-prompts-announcement/
