Welcome to the first week of May!

With it due to warm up this week it’s going to feel quite different for us all! It’s giving early morning coffees under the soft glow of the sun, fresh cut flowers and iced coffees too 🫶

With the feeling of summer closer than ever, we’re tying up the loose ends with our 2024 brides and grooms* and booking appointments with our newest couples too. It’s definitely going to be a summer of love this year! I can feel it!! 💖

We’ve got the privilege of creating such a variety of wedding styles for you all I just can’t wait to share. From wild and whimsical to lush and lavish.. and everything in between - we’ve loved creating with you all.

Busy days in the flower shop as we’re moving through spring! A spring favourite of mine (and yours too judging by the rate they’re selling!). A whole world of colours and varieties to be explored when it comes to tulips.. plus the joy of watching them grow - the way they reach for the light even on the darker days feels very symbolic 💕

✨MAJOR WORKS TO OUR ST LEONARDS SHOP✨

Hi all!! Starting Monday 8th January we are having some major work done to our St Leonard’s shop - this is due to last about 4 weeks and means we will be shutting up shop for at least two of those..

BUT DON’T FRET! We’re not going anywhere far, we’ll be popping up at 15a Norman Road to ensure we can keep trading and supplying all your floral needs 🌸 You didn’t think we’d leave you did you?!

We will still be open with flowers and a small selection of plants, plus a few of our members of staff to take orders and enquiries as usual! Our usual trading hours and contact details still apply should you need to get in touch 💕

We’re likely to close a little early tomorrow (Saturday) to get things moved across but our Bexhill shop will be open for you ‘till 5pm as usual.

Well this feels strange.. it feels as if overnight our late summer has turned to autumn! 🍂🥹 Our shops are stocked with some of our early autumn favourites and we are having the best time creating with the rich and opulent tones that come around this time of year - we are so lucky! Don’t tell the other seasons… but autumn really is my favourite ❤️ BUT I have a dilemma..

My camera roll is still so full of unshared summer florals from such a busy few months!! Shall I share them over the next few weeks or are we happily waving goodbye to summer and embracing autumn and all its loveliness?!

This summery selection was just calling out to me! Full of texture and movement, pops of clashing colour and plenty of seasonal picks in there too.

Call me crazy, but I think it just screams colourful garden chic wedding too.. just imagine!! Bohemian table runners, ‘just picked’ bridal bouquet and a breathtaking floral archway for the ceremony - doubling up as a photo spot at the reception too! Ahhh!!! 🥹 🎉

‘Florist quality peonies’ but what does it mean?!?!!

The short answer is, it means the perfect peonies!!

For those of you who have the time or curiosity for the long answer.. read on 😘

We all know it’s peony season! But unfortunately, not all peonies from all sources (as with most flowers) will be of the same quality! When you come to us for your peonies you can bet ya bottom dollar that

1) They’ve been selected from fantastic suppliers but bought at great prices at auction to keep our pricing reasonable! 💕

2) Every stem has been carefully conditioned and provided with the best start to their vase life 💐

3) That means that when the stems are trimmed and placed into a clean vase they will pop open and then hold in that beautifully bloomed state! 📣I’ve had both ‘Coral Charm’ and ‘Sara Bernhardt’ last for around 2 weeks this year 📣

4) They are also ✨perfect ✨ because we can combine them with YOUR perfect choice of accompaniments.. be that a little filler flower, foliage or a whole bouquet to compliment.. it’s bespoke and unique to you.
