Sadly, we’ve been forced to cancel future bookings and hold enquiries🪽

The recent Sparrowhawk attacks on our little flock has been utterly relentless, heartbreaking and has resulted in several injured and lost doves 🕊️
•

So we’ve decided to pause until we are able to hatch a plan of ultimate protection and safety 🤍
•

After all, the health, safety and protection of our little lovelies comes as a top priority 🪽

Baby doves (Squabs) aren’t the cutest to look at but crikey do they grow fast 🐤

Her mate is close by and will take over brooding duties when she hops off to take a break to eat, drink and stretch her wings 🕊️

A pair of our free flying fantails have decided that their luxury (and sodding expensive) Dovecote simply won’t do 🕊️

Instead they have opted for the log store to build their nest and lay their eggs 🥚

To give them a head start, and to keep their eggs safe, we’ve given them a nesting bowl 🤍

Luckily, 15 minutes or so before the service the rain, clouds and wind cleared and the release went ahead as planned ⛅️

Last week Sweetie attended a life celebration in Oxford 🤍

Although the celebration was heavily attended, Sweetie didn’t falter, was perfectly behaved and contributed to a great release 🕊️

The family were overjoyed to have her for their emotional final goodbye to a loved one 🤍

Sweetie made it home to rejoin her flock unhindered 🕊️

Last weekend we added 2 pairs of Fantails to our Dovecote flock here in our garden 🕊️

They’ve settled beautifully. We’ll slowly introduce them to their travel and display cages so they can add a special touch to a special day 💍

These guys will be display only and will not be released as they don’t have a strong enough homing instinct as the others 👍🏽

Dave and I are excited to introduce you all to our little side hustle business 🤍
•
We have decided to put our lovely birds to work and offer them out for occasion releases - whether that be weddings, life celebrations, anniversaries, remembrance ceremonies and so on 🕊️
•
The birds are currently being “homed in” and will remain comfortably netted in their rather swanky dovecote (likely until the spring). Then training and fun will begin. We will be free flying them locally initially, increasing their distances gradually which will allow them to be booked and return home safely from their occasion release 🕊️
•
Please do give us a “like” and a follow to keep up with our little venture as we move it forward and begin building some proper content 🤍

This is home-sweet-home for our gorgeous birds here in Somerton, Oxfordshire 🏡

They arrived promptly in their travel boxes earlier in the year and have since been netted to home them in 👍🏼
•
We’re planning on keeping them safely under the net for the winter and then will begin training in the spring 🕊️
