A fabulous February wedding… ✨

Hannah and Harry had the most incredible details for their February wedding a few weeks ago including beautiful bridesmaids dresses in one of our favourite shades - green. According to this is the most popular colour of the year! 🤩 Teamed with the dashing groomsmen in their formal attire (Harry’s velvet number was perfect for a winter wedding) we think this was a match made in heaven!

The prettiest tablescapes…

A beautiful summers day for Helena and Ben who chose an abundance of botanical style bud vases filled with meadow style flowers for their elegant wedding breakfast. With a colour palette of white, blue and pale yellow these included delphiniums, poppies, daisies, foxgloves and nigella. This delicate flower palette by gave the tables lots of interest and movement and they even placed the bridesmaids bouquets in vases and dotted these down the tables.

With the addition of beautiful candlelight the overall look was breathtaking and the barn smelt incredible.

Get me to the church on time? ⛪️

There will be no delays if you’re marrying at the impressive St. Mary’s situated in the quaint village of Launton. Imagine waking up on your big day and only having to take a few steps along the garden path to get to the beautiful 12th century church right next door.

Get ready in one of our preparations spaces with all your favourite people and then set off through the gardens to the church - it’s a pretty three minute walk!

After saying your ‘I Do’s’ and capturing those all important confetti shots, head back across to Tythe and let the celebrations begin!

Here’s Charlotte and Charlie enjoying their morning prep followed by their beautiful church ceremony. A short stroll back to Tythe with plenty of time to soak up the beauty of the gardens in the glorious spring sunshine.

“Our wedding weekend was perfection from start to finish. Being able to stay at The Farmhouse the night before allowed us to start the festivities early and all get a good night’s sleep ahead of the big day. What a lovely space to host wedding evening drinks and nibbles!

On the day itself, and in the lead-up, the whole team at Tythe, from Josie, our assigned wedding co-ordinator, and the caterers at Absolute Taste, to the bar staff, were attentive and professional from start to finish. Thank you so much for making our day so special, we had such a joyful day with memories to last a lifetime.“

The Tythe Barn, Launton

Built between 1360 and 1370, the historical Tythe Barn at Launton still retains the majority of its 22 foot original beams. The wonderful stone walls are an amazing 4.5 foot thick in parts. The roof was first thatched with reeds from the nearby Otmoor water plains and has only recently required re-thatching. In the past, The Tythe Barn would have stored all the produce provided by the local people and a percentage of this would have been passed on to the landlord as a form of rent - hence the name Tythe. Now with the magical touch of its owners, the barn has been transformed into the perfect space for weddings, events and celebrations.
