Hi everyone, Please don't worry about pick up times etc. I'm still poorly after my op, and I'll post timings on here as soon as I'm well enough. Please pass the details on to friends who may not be online.
I will post what pick up points I think you'll have, as before, but please msg me if they're wrong.
Please keep an eye on here anyway, as there are usually a few queries at this stage.
Time to rest my poorly eye now👁 and get this poorly leg to bed🛌💤

Hello all, I trust you are all safe and well, and got by with little damage. It's good to see the weather has calmed in this area today.
I have checked the hall calendar, and Sunday 15th December is free from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
I need to know who is likely to come if I book it, ticket holders and non ticket holders. Please post ALL names.
PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON AS A MATTER OF URGENCY TO YOUR FRIENDS, AND CONTACT AS MANY OTHERS AS YOU CAN TO LET THEM KNOW, AS THERE ARE MANY WHO ARE NOT ON OUR PHOENIX PAGE.

I should be doing Weymouth business now, but we would love a Christmas party to end our dancing year, so please send me all the names of those who would support us on 15th, so as I can let the hall secretary know.

Lots of damage to the Barnstaple Hotel😮
I have been told the weather will be worse tomorrow, so please stay indoors. Try to cook some things to have cold if the power goes off. You can always freeze afterwards if not used. Keep matches, a candle, and torches handy, and please don't venture outside, just be inventive!

NOTICE
Sadly, tonight's Christmas party is cancelled. The Amber warning is still in place, and we wouldn't want to put anyone in danger. We have been so unlucky, as snow forced us to cancel last year.
I will try to rearrange the party for another date soon, so please keep a look out for updates. It would be lovely to have some party fun before we close. Please keep hold of your tickets, for if we do have to reimburse you.
Please stay indoors and keep safe, and let everyone you know who was coming tonight, that we have been forced to cancel.

Hello to all our new Tuesday Beginners. I hope you are finding this class as much fun to do, as we are in taking it💃
Hello to all our other dancers👋This post is also relevant to you😊
I have recently been talking to some dancers about suitable dance shoes to wear, so I am including some helpful information for you.
1. Our floors are either hard or wooden, so that we can swivel, pivot and slide easily.
2. Outdoor shoes bring dirt and grit onto the floor, therefore changing into dance shoes at classes is recommended. These are lighter than any outdoor shoes, and therefore provide more freedom to dance.
3. Full fronted, secure dance shoes with elastic, buckles, or laces are recommended.
4. Suede soles are recommended for dancing indoors, either half or full sole. These can be gently 'fluffed up' with a rubber/wire shoe brush to aid dancing, and get rid of dirt and dust.
5. Dance shoes can be kept clean if stored in a bag after use.
Here are a few examples of suitable shoes which you can check out. These pics are from Amazon, but you can do your own search. I have always found the sizing to be correct with Greek Sandals. The lace-ups are very comfortable, and these are very cheap. The half suede sole is better than the ones I wear, as mine are only pads. They're canvas, so they mould to your foot shape.
