With heavy heart I must confirm that I am no longer operating as The Cakery.
Stress on my family and the growing ingredients cost and scarcity means i don’t get any enjoyment from it. I will of course continue to bake for my amazing friends and family if they still want me too xx

With a week where the snow didn’t help me at all with the heating stopping and washing machine freezing (and tonight a burst pipe) I got to make a short 6” again for the same family. 6” of chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache and fondant icing with a royal icing drip and meringue and fondant decorations made for a truly delightful little girls first birthday. happy first birthday Isla

I hate Christmas cards, yeah its very ‘Bah Humbug’ so when the children ask to write them i groan. This year DB and I decided to make christmas bunnies to hand out instead - so happy!! This is what 30 hand made shortbread cookies with fondant look like!!!

Just for good measure was an 8” rainbow vanilla pinata cake for beautiful Olivias 12th Birthday at the weekend! She totally designed this cake herself, although we had problems getting the original lollies she wanted so had to improvise with skittles! Inside was filled with even more skittles!

After her pile of brownies Emily had a second celebration but this time with cake. 6” Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache, brownie filled pops, Malteaser balls and Ferrero Rocher.

Ellas mummy also had another cake this weekend for her joint birthday party with her sister Ava. So one side of the cake was Peppa themed and the other horse themed.
This cake was a huge 10” chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache and buttercream with fondant decorations - all edible except the skewers holding the top bits up!
