A couple of years ago, we posted this picture. It’s just as appropriate now as it was then.
Florists get a bit of a slating on week for upping their prices etc. Whereas actually, the prices have been going up to us for the last few weeks, and we try and absorb it as best we can.
I can't deny that a florist is more expensive than a supermarket, lets face it you get what you pay for, but I know for a fact that the roses that will be leaving my shop on Valentines Day have a wow factor that no bunch of £4 'sweetheart' lost leader supermarket roses could ever have.
I am biased, I will not deny, but I think this posts picture says it all. The rose on the left if two weeks old, perfectly formed, and beautifully open. The bunch on the right is from my local supermarket.
When it comes to the 'best deal' your local florist will undoubtedly provide it this February 14th. Their long stemmed roses have been cared for from long ago, right back to when the bud first formed, to when it was hand picked, carefully hand packed, hand delivered from top quality Dutch suppliers, conditioned by a qualified florist, arranged with care and delivered with love.
Your Valentine is worth more than a bunch of roses you pick up with a pint of milk 😉🌹
Support local this Valentine’s, and buy the very best from your local florist ♥️🌹
