I often say that I don’t post often enough about funeral ceremonies that I deliver and every now and then I feel I really should.
Friday’s ceremony was for Danny, only 60 years old and had MND. A very difficult illness that’s takes away a lot of who you are as a person. But thanks to today’s technology you are able to do voice banking for when you are no longer able to speak yourself. So we were lucky enough to be able to play an excerpt of Danny’s voice which really was a touching moment.
A funeral ceremony at its best, is a reflection of a persons life, not simply a time for tears, but a time to recognise what made them who they were. And a bloke like Danny, with his quick wit, his stubborn streak and his huge heart would have loved that we truly celebrated his life in a way that was fitting to him.
With special thanks to for letting me share this post to help raise awareness for MND, voice banking and for sending this lovely thank you message:
“Thank you for all that you did yesterday Nikki. It was everything that I had hoped it to be and everyone said what a good send off it was❤️xx
Life is such a fragile beautiful thing, a collection of moments that pass far quicker than we ever imagine. None of us know how much time we’re given, but what we do know if that every day is a chance to love a little more deeply, laugh a little more often and hold close the people who matter most.
